Outstanding choice. I noticed the sale yesterday, and was kind of sad that I had played through it already. EXTREMELY fun game, the stealth components are extraordinarily well done, somewhat reminiscent of the stealth aspects of MGS. Of course, all of the other stuff (hacking terminals, etc) is also fun.

You should get Alpha Protocol...seriously. If it ever goes on sale pick it up. I don't think you would be disappointed.

I just started a re-play of Infinite (gonna try to max out all the achievements), but when I finish that I'll fire up Deus Ex HR.

Just got these two games on Steam; System Shock 2 and Half-Life 2.

Which should I play first?

Half-Life 2. Unless you like saving the best for last....but I would choose Half Life 2 twice.

Haha right on. Itching to play System Shock 2 as well because I'm a huge BioShock fan.

System Shock 2 came out in 1999, so the graphics will be horrendously outdated compared to current games. That said, it’s an excellent game that in terms of design and gameplay served as a tremendous influence on later game designs. FPS games with RPG elements (that is, shooters where you can upgrade your character’s skills and abilities; see games like Deus Ex, Dead Space, Bioshock, etc.) are common today, and SS2 was pretty much the first game of that style.

I want to play that whole series again...maybe when HL3 comes out (so obviously never).

Did you get just HL2 or the expansions too?

HL2 Ep2....Hunters...Screw those things man...hate hate hate.

Ravenholm was my least favorite part of the Half-Lifes. I did not enjoy it at all.

I hated it sooo good. You hear those noises getting closer and closer and it was just instant panic looking around. I did the achievement using only gravity gun on that whole board. Awesome. Challenging, but fun. Why did you hate it?

I am not someone that likes "scary" games. Challenging yes, but it just wasn't what I like in a game. Doesn't detract from my experience with Half-Life though. It was necessary to go to Ravenholm, but I just didn't have much fun with it.

Yeah, I'm not really into a game for "scary," but I enjoyed the board immensely for some reason. Well executed I thought.

But... but... you have a gravity gun and there are giant saw blades all over the place.

I think that's what made it so great. It was a departure from the rest ofthe game.

Got the game and the Lost Coast with it.

I'm a few hours into HF2. Very interesting so far.

I played GoW:A for all of 10 minutes before getting to another annoying "die 20 times until you make it through the whole area" stage. I turned it off.

Get the episodes later. Shorter because they are expansions, but some fun stuff

I tend to be a review junkie (not all the time), and Alpha Protocol is pretty underwhelming in that respect. That being said, I'll give this game a shot based on the reviews of my LGP brethren.

I know people say that Bioshock is like system shock's spiritual successor, but SS2 reminds me more of Deus Ex than Bioshock. Whatevs though, that means I liked it.

Whelp, the new Xbox is being revealed today at 10am PST. Hopefully all of the rumors about always online will finally be put to bed.

Plus if you go the GameStop used route it's like $7.99 and can be returned within seven days for money back if you don't like it, but you will.

Yeah that looked super tight. The question is, do I still need to rent a cable box from FIOS to be able to use this as my cable box? If yes, then I don't care about this haha.

Also, they started talking about the next gen EA sports games and leave out NHL.

So is the online requirement real or not?

Also, I hate it when companies try to mix everything into their creation so theirs was the ONLY thing needed for EVERYTHING. A cable thing on the xbox. For what purpose, I say. And I guess that goes into customers' cost and also one more thing that can go wrong with it.
