Just took of a couple Weyerbacher Merry Monks that I've had for a while since I have this cold. Probably not the best statement for this beer that I liked it the most I ever have. Had to toss in freezer to got cold in time for dinner (another thing I wouldn't ordinarily do to mt beer if I didn't have a cold), so it was probably colder than its ever been. Got some nice white grape flavor tonight to go with the banana. Still gets cloyingly sweet (candied sugar sweet) when it warms IMO.

It is Anchor's fall brown ale offering. Quite good, and very easy drinking. Highly recommend, plus I love the bottle/label (cool fall colors)

Sierra Nevada makes Tumbler. I get those two confused sometimes too.

Finally cracked the Yeti Barrel Chocolate Stout. Very good, but a tad too bitter. Seems to mellow some as it warms.

Wow sorry...that's pretty awful by me, considering I was just looking at the case a little over an hour ago. Yeah, Sierra Nevada is Tumbler eddy. On that note, I'm very pleased with how reasonable Sierra Nevada's price point is.

yea MWB, Great Divide makes some ridiculously in your face imp stouts.

It's been a Delirium night so far. First the Nocturnum, now the Tremens. So good.

I assumed the Trippel would be my favorite by default, but the Strong Dark or whatever its considered was better. 2. I was shocked at how disappointed I was in the White and Red. The white was ok, but nothing I'd go out of my way to drink again. The Red was pretty nondescript to me... not really worth even discussing.

Still have the 2 deliriums and the Helltown... will get into those tomorrow.

Chimay...not into it. Give me a St Bernardus any day.

I liked the Chimay Blue, as well.

Matter of fact, had a couple with dinner tonight at Cioppino. I'd agree with shmenguin that St. Bernadus (Abt 12) is better - really, a top brew overall - but I'm not kicking out the Chimay blue for eating crackers notracist.

Here's a beer related question... I'm going to be hitting Packs and Dogs later, and getting a 12 pack to go. I dont need to tip for that, do i? Like if I'm not drinking there? Anyone know the answer to this?

That seems like a good price?

No beer/wine sales on Sunday until 12:30 - which is odd, given the open container laws here - so I'll have to go back soonish.

It would be interesting to see how much sediment was left in the fermentation tank.

Founder Greg Koch, Fark.com Founder Drew Curtis, and Actor/Home brewer Wil Wheaton have teamed up for the next Stone collaboration. The aptly named Stone Farking Wheaton w00tstout features an imperial stout brewed with pecans, wheat & rye, partially aged in bourbon barrels. Nerds, beer nerds, & Fark lovers a like anxiously await a release date for this whopping 13% brew.

Just scored a bottle. Breaking Bad tomorrow Night seems like a worthy occasion, or perhaps just the soonest. :scared:

Three rivers six pack in Murrysville had it. Picked up a bottle on the way back home yesterday. Probably end up drinking it during the ppv tonight.

So I drank the Spiteful Saison earlier today. I definitely detected the "wet band aid" smell that Kraftster alluded to... although it was somehow not as offputting as you might expect. Flavor wise, it was ok. I felt more like I was drinking a glass of wine than a beer. The end of the bottle was definitely more interesting with the yeast. Not sure I'd get it again, but I don't regret trying it either.

If you just swing in and pick your beers, no tip is necessary. If a member of the staff takes their time to assist you in beer selection, 1-2 bucks is appreciatednbut not expected.

Yes their Grand Cru is good as well. I bought a case of it last winter out here near Philly.
