Pittsburgh Brewing was ahead of its time on that idea:

I don't have to be at work until Monday; a Hennepin has been uncorked.

I went to the whole foods and had a ~ 1/2 pound of pulled pork, roasted potatoes, steamed kale and a piece of seared white fish......and the Hennepin still cut thought it all (in several ways).

Nope. But its probably right there with Heady Topper as the best Double IPA in the world according to most.

There are a couple places near here that have big Pliny the Elder and Younger events. I can't wait to try it

I've had Elder many times. Stumbled across a can of Heady Topper once. Not sure how old it was but I would definitely put Elder ahead of Heady Topper for now. If I can get my hands on some fresh Heady Topper I will revisit that conclusion.

I got some last February, it was amazing. Relatively low bitterness for a triple IPA. The Elder I drank afterwards tasted like water.

Gouden Carolus: Cuvee Van De Keizer Blauw. Really interesting. Has a carbonated wine syrup thing going on. Nice finish.

Picked up a 6'er of Batch 19 Pre-Prohibition Lager. Didn't realize it was made by Coors. Hopefully it's a little better than their other beers (I'm setting low expectations in the case that it's actually good).

I'm actually surprised at the taste. Little too hoppy for my tastes, but I'm kinda surprised it isn't basically piss in a bottle.

That's good to hear you weren't scammed. There is a bud higher octane beer that is actually good. Maybe American Lager?

Batch 19 is a pretty solid offering from a macro.

Blue Moon and Leinenkugel are also owned by MillerCoors.

Had Sierra Nevada's Tumbler last night. Very good stuff. I can't wait for full fledged fall/winter beer season.

Dear practically ever bar owner,

What is the point of getting good beer on draught at your establishment if you're never going to clean your tap lines?
