a few years back kenny the kangaroo went to niagara falls for a bachelor party and generally speaking this was the expeirence of our crew. we even went to a beer distributor, expecting there to be lots of eggciting canukian brews. instead it was all just meh.

At one of the restaurants (which are 95% price jacked up chains) I asked the bartender if they had any good Canadian beers that weren't easy access in the states. His reply... "MGD?". I'm glad we brought a bunch of bottles of wine. Besides the prices, it's an incredible place to visit. Hard not to enjoy yourself when this is your view from your hotel room

Sitting on the back patio, drinking Spaten Dunkel, listening to Pens radio, reading Hockey News. Need a fire pit, but all's good.

Peg Leg Imperial Stout for the cool evening. Drinkable, but nowhere near the top of its class.

So I've been brewing and I purchased the equipment to build a keezer (it's a kegerator that is built out of a chest freezer). The chest freezer I used was a craigslist find and It hold 3 of 5 gallon kegs I bought that I can put my home brew in. I spray painted and build the keezer today. The front and top have chalkboard spray paint on them so my fiancee can decorate it with chalk. I plan on kegging one of my brews tomorrow, another next weekend and brew a batch tomorrow to fill into the fermenter I empty out tomorrow by filling a keg. So hopefully by mid october I'll have all 3 taps going with a brown ale, an american pale ale and a pliny the elder clone. I'll post a picture of it at some point... don't feel like going downstairs right now to snap a pic.

I have been making the rounds at arsenal cider house trying their offerings. Got a growler of the centennial hop cider. I think the IPA talk a few pages ago had me jonesing for one. It is nice and dry and had the smell of an IPA and a little bit of the hoppy taste. Not one of their normal ciders. Enjoying it very much

I wonder how that centennial hop cider compares with the kaiser Cider they did w/ Penn Brewery. That was pretty amazing.

I don't really remember, but it seems like Moosehead and Molson were about the same.
