There are plenty of hops to allow this to sit until Christmas and still have the hop punch. Personally, I think this beer gets slightly better after about a month and a half to two months.

The hops will be there but will probably be missing the bite they have now. Which is why I have my crushing my Elder's the past week. I've had some old IPA's, 60 min IPA and Stone IPA, that were old and undrinkable.

Define old... lol. I'm not letting these bad boys wait until spring or later. I'm talking a month and a half, tops.

I think they'll be just fine if I spread them out over the next month and a half to two months.

It's my 7th year anniversary today, not sure the wife would appreciate that after I was gone all weekend drinking, smoking, kan jamming, and kayaking, but I kinda want to grab a 4 pack now, sounds pretty damn good.

I was at a GE Express the other day and the manager came out and asked if there was any other single beers I wanted pulled for my mix and match as he would just pull them for me. He said there was only 1 he couldn't do it on. I asked if he could pull the Headhunter and that's the one. Would have been a sneaky snipe to pull from the 4 pack and make a 6 pack.

I haven't had one, but I'm biased against them already because Facebook kept sticking ads for Cidre in my news feed.

Has anyone else tried Sierra Nevada Southern Hemisphere Harvest Ale?

http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/140/42533

I came across it at a beer emporium in Poughkeepsie, and it was $3.99 for a 24 oz. bottle. When I saw the positive reviews, I had to buy a couple. Looking forward to trying it this weekend.

Dogfish Head's Positive Contact was at the bottle shop I went to last night:
http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/10099/76781

I was intrigued, and asked the guy working there if he'd ever had it. He said that it's one that he never tried, but from what he heard people either love it or hate it. I said, "oh, so just like every other weird dogfish head beer?" He just laughed and said, "Yup, pretty much." I didn't buy it, but may go back and pick one up to try.

Positive Contact is a cider/wheat beer hybrid. I like it a lot. The batch they had at the Millvale Brewfest had a much stronger cider flavor than the bottle I had back on New Years, so be aware of that.

Bell's Best Brown Ale is probably my favorite brown ale out there. Ellie's Brown Ale by Avery is my second favorite.

Had Sierra Nevada Flipside, a red IPA. Ok, not great. Basically a slightly bitter copper ale.

Have any of you guys started a collection of beers to be aged? I've put away a couple Dogfish Head 120 minutes and just bought some 21st Amendment's Lower De Boom. I'd like to age a few but they're in cans rather than bottles. Are cans okay to age? Also, does anyone have suggestions on beers to age?

went out for anniversary dinner last night and they had some different beers on tap I haven't had before. I liked them all, and I haven't really drank many Belgians, so the Gulden Draak was very interesting, I think that taste is a work in progress for me. The Torpedo was incredibly smooth, will be revisiting that.

Torpedo is one of my favorite IPAs. Incredibly complex and hoppy, but well-balanced for a beer of its kind.

I had Abita Purple Haze and Breckinridge Vanilla Porter over the weekend.

Purple Haze had a strange after taste. Probably wouldn't go out of my way to drink it.

The vanilla porter tasted more like vanilla vodka than beer. All I got was alcohol and vanilla.
