How "sweet" is this?

the beer? it's really not that sweet. it's called nugget nectar because I'm pretty sure nugget hops are one of the big hops that they use in it. It's an imperial amber ale, so imagine if an amber and an IPA had a baby.

Sounds good. If it less than 40 I'll pick up a case.

I doubt you'll find it less than $40. I paid $12 for a six pack.

I would say the decent beer is worth ~3.5 times more than Natty Light. Seems about right.

40 a case is better than 10 for a 4 pack or 12 for a 6 pack.

You typically pay less per bottle in a case than a six pack.

if anyone's near philly, i know of a place that's currently selling cases for 49.99

I'll have to check what this cost in Lancaster on my next visit. I often get the Java Head and that runs 35/case.

This place has java head at 35.99 a case. No need for a PM, shad. Here's the link to their inventory.

http://www.beermenus.com/places/6785-moore-beverage

I have to head over soon. They have founders imperial stout and I need to snatch the rest of their urkontinent.

Since i'd like to retire at a reasonable age, I am cheap.
One sixer of good beer a week and Miller, otherwise.

Not even close to the most I've ever paid for case. I've spent over $100 for beer before. My brother dropped something like $180 for a case of 120 Minute.

Columbia does this weird thing where he drinks a couple of craft beers and then drinks a bunch of cheap macro beers. Weird, right? :slug:

Nice..... The only macros that I can drink are Yuengling, Labatt, and Molson. Also a couple of "tweeners" like Blue Moon and Sam Adams

I've bought a couple cases of World Wide stout at $168 a pop. But it's 18% abv, so it's like 4 cases of beer.

I don't think i've ever paid more than $50 for a case of beer. I normally buy 4 or 6 packs of the super expensive ones.

Same. They tend to be the super, duper heavy ones that I really only want 4 or 6 of anyway. Or a bomber.

Pretty sure the most I've ever paid is around $40 and that is for things like Golden Monkey which is 9.5% and Weihenstephaner which is imported (and still worth every cent).

I would be hard pressed to go past that... but if I ever came upon a case of Weihenstephaner Vitus, all bets are off.

Expensive beer typically ages well, considering the ABV. It's just fiscally irresponsible to not get a case and get a bulk discount

That's another issue. You can buy beer everywhere here, so cases aren't really an option.
I can drive 3 minutes to the gas station and get a sixer of Boulevard Farmhouse Ale for $10 (aka $40 a case).....but why would I buy four six packs, when it's that close?

I'm enjoying a Yuengling Black and Tan mixed with Java Head now. I like the high abv but sometimes less is more.
