Question about your status

Postby newarenanow on Tue Jun 13, 2006 2:07 pm

Just wondering, because this wasn't on the old board, how many posts does it take to reach a different rank (ie. Junior A, ECH'ler) and how many are there?

I was just wondering. And don't worry Mods, I won't post just to reach a certain level, just curious.

Knowing the limits would just increase the amount of useless messages just like this one.

Exactly.

I used to run a message board and made the mistake, after someone asked, of posting the rank listings. It lead to a lot of useless posting by members [to hit the next milestone] and only served to waste my bandwidth.

So I say good on the Admin for keeping it quiet. :D

I don't know.

I'm in the process of selling the board to pfim. I believe he's planning on moving it to Vegas. 8)

Post 808 times and you can be Site Admin. It's more of a takeover than a sale, and we're definitely going to Vegas baby.

There are no more status levels after ECHLer. It's all an elaborate psychological experiment by the Admin. He's too into Lost.

Post counts/Status

Postby Max Power on Wed Jun 14, 2006 9:45 am

Post counts are the most over rated item on all message boards. My opinion, they should be maybe a researchable item and not displayed. That way no one posts garbage for the sake of a post count. Does the post count equate to the quality of a post or poster? No.
