Wow. Reading through this thread, WOW is a lot more in depth than I ever thought.

I always thought about playing, but I just don't have the time too. But it seems very interesting and fun.

If you don't have the time, seriously, stay away. I was hardcore in college because I had the time, and was mostly poor. Now, I don't have the time and want to play. But I won't make time for it either.

It's incredibly addicting and something that, can and will create drama for a person in a relationship haha.

It really isn't that in depth. The only thing that takes any skill at all is PvP, unless you join a high end guild and do all of the content before they nerf it for the casuals. I have been hearing that now-adays the content comes pre-nerfed so there is really not much of a challenge anymore to even that.

I started the day it came out, I've quit twice and come-back. It certainly isn't anywhere near as fun as it used to be. The old days used to be hardmode.

I scoffed at WoW until I tried it. It's really a lot of fun, even if you play casually like I do.

Even Heroics are easy mode anymore. Just get blues and you can run them for sure.

Hm, good to know. I'm OK with easy mode for the most part, since I'm too anti-social to join a guild or do much raiding.

No doubt, it's not necessarily a bad thing by any means. Blizz is doing it to reach out to new customers. It just alienated the people that have been with the game since the start.

I'm a Wow noob as well, Level 25 Blood Elf Hunter. I still mainly play LOTRO though since I love Tolkien.

You get them as quest rewards and you can probably buy some from the AH. Or are you talking about hunter pets?

You can also get special pets during world events like Brewfest and Halloween week (oh, and world events are super fun, but the cities get crowded with idiots trying to get the holiday quests done). There is a little pumpkin pet called a Sinister Squashling that I've had my eye on for like two years. I guess it's extremely rare/hard to get and only available from one of the Hallow's End quests. The new tournament content from the latest upgrade has all kinds of pets as rewards, and some drop from mobs as well.

Vanity pets are just for looks, hunter pets actually help with killing mobs and such.

I have an alliance hunter with a bear pet on a non-PvP server. I've been using the same pet since level 10 because it is such an awesome tank. It's nearly impossible for him to lose aggro.

I just met a lady where she was selling carriers for cats. lol So I shouldn't get hunter pets? and I finally got my materials to cook. It seems like everytime I play I learn something new. It took me 45 mins to find Eastvale Logging Camp because I was just running all over killing enemies to get XP.

I had no idea there was holiday events, I bet the servers are always in queue.
