I've met the real guy a few times. Very nice. Not quite as much of a "Rambo" as the movie made him out to be but very, very dedicated to his mission. His church is only ~20 minutes from my house.

I plan on doing some research on the guy now that I've seen the movie to get a more real version of him. I might even go visit his church sometime since it's really not that far away.

There are some hit pieces out there in regards to him. I don't pretend to know the whole story but he'll admit he isn't perfect but he's definitely doing more than the vast majority of Americans.

If you ever head up this way let me know. I've been to a few services there and would be happy to tag along.

Don Jon wasn't very good. I thought it would be funnier. I nodded off a couple times.

The montage of Antonio Banderas learning the Viking language was pretty amazing. (That device, how a character gets from one language to English for the audience to understand) is actually a hallmark of director John McTiernan. But other than that, yeah it was kinda dumb.

I feel like it was like Congo in that it just didn't translate well from a book to a movie.

I like Irons for Alfred, but I'm not sure I'm buying Eisenberg as Luthor. He's good at the "smartest man in the room" attitude, but he just looks too damn young.

There has been a lot of rumors that they are shooting Batman vs. Superman and a Justice League movie back to back. That seemed to get more traction earlier this week when it was revealed that Henry Cavill will be spending 10 months in Detroit shooting the movie(s).

I keep trying to give the Batman/Superman movie the benefit of the doubt, but these casting decisions are getting more and more bizarre.

If Affleck is playing an older version of Batman shouldn't Alfred be a lot older also? I am thinking they should have gone after somebody like Ian McKellen.

This is the End. I enjoyed it for what it was. It wasn't consistently funny throughout but I had 5 or 6 lol moments.

I could watch Danny McBride act in any movie and laugh my ass off. Something about his delivery just makes everything hilarious.

Extremely disappointed with World's End. I was expecting a lot more after Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead, but I just couldn't get over how....unfunny this movie was. It had two or three good moments, but I was surprised how little I enjoyed it.

Interesting that the critics seemed to love it, but the hoi polloi was very lukewarm on it.

I watched "I Think We're Alone Now" earlier today. It's a short documentary about two stalked of pop singer Tiffany. Lots of weirdness.
