Even though Gollum proved that really good CGI characters are possible (and that was made 10 years ago) there would be two major problems:

1) they would resort to doing plenty of physically impossible things. it would take amazing self control on the part of the director and animators not to. hopefully they would go the Avatar route and motion capture martial artist actors and their faces.

2) it is still really really expensive to do CGI characters. Whedon mentioned numerous times in the Avengers commentary how they really had to budget their minutes with Hulk and the Chitari in the film, because it was extremely expensive. to have four turtles on screen at once plus whatever villians? they would definitely cheap out on scenes like those towards the end of the first film.

Yeah, he may be assassinated. I would probably be more into it if someone other than Michael Bay did it. Though I guess I didn't have a problem with Transformers, so we shall see.

It's an animated movie though. I don't get this discussion. :scared:

Mary Louise Parker is someone I wouldn't mind meeting in a sauna.

I don't like her.

Mind you, I'm referring to her ability as an on-screen actress, not as the subject of an off-screen, random but of-so-fortunate sauna encounter :pop:

I loooooove Mary Louise Parker. There is a certain picture of her that was featured in a 2010 Vanity Fair article that is very flattering.

The "Old Women" Hot List (over 40)
(less interesting photographs, but a more representative list of Mr. Tif's tastes -- minus the unconscionable exclusion of Kate Walsh)

Watched "Tomorrow When the War Began" on Netflix. All it did was make me laugh at how bad Aussies are at making a Red Dawn knockoff and make me yearn to meet the Brunette and Blonde ladies from the film. So overall, I liked it.

Die Hard is the best Christmas movie, that isn't National Lampoon's or A Christmas Story.

Does the time a year a movie takes place make it a Christmas movie though?

If it does than yes, Die Hard wins. I don't consider that a Christmas movie though.

A Christmas Story isn't very good. it's probably the biggest offender in terms of mistaking nostalgia for quality.

I watched that for the first time when I was about 16 or 17. I didn't get it. I'm actually surprised so many non baby boomers do get it.
