I dug his first ST even though I found it a little confusing, I think MI3 is his best work to date, while I liked the 1st half of Super 8, the lens flares in that movie were completely distracting. If nobody made a big deal about these things I probably wouldn't have noticed, but once you notice, man alive does it take you out of the movie for a split second. and with that I give you

I think its a good choice, even though its a bit weird for Star Trek and Star Wars to have the same director. I've also never understood the collective moan about the lens flares. Just seems like one of those things that a small group of people hate and then everyone else jumps in the hate-wagon. Maybe I'm just not a whiner.

like eddy said, you don't notice until you're told, and then you cant stop seeing them. he uses them in every scene. like somebody who says "um" too much speaking public. the repetition becomes annoying.

I'm extremely interested in what these new Star Wars will bring. Everyone knew the overall story of the prequels and what was going to happen.

And hopefully Lucas has little to no say in these movies. They will be great.

I understand that he wants his own visual style, and I completely agree about how annoying it is to complain about it, but like pittsoccer said, it's one of those things that you can't stop noticing because its so talked up and it can take you out of the movie.

Well I'm confidant with JJ Abrams directing that the CGI will have a much better tone and strategic use than Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.

It is unfortunate that it will not follow the Timothy Zahn narrative.
