I have no idea if it's streaming anywhere. I rather doubt it.

But after checking out Clavaire on IMDB it sounds like it's right up my alley (foreign horror) and I thank you for the recommendation.

The wife isn't into horror as much but we are excited to see Sinister.

Not yet. I have to catch the wife in a 'horror' mood in order to get her to watch with me or I have to be alone. (whip crack)

I mentioned Looper and Taken 2 to her and now she's all about an action flick. Guess I'm headed to the redbox...

Lo is more a quirky indie romantic comedy with demons in it than a real horror movie

The Dark Knight Rises

Spoiler:
I liked it, not as much as TDK, but it was a good movie. Seemed bigger, so that was nice as a sequel. Liked Bane and the twist at the end, although it would have been good to see a death for Tate as big as her antagonist warranted. Some awkward plot explanations here and there.

Didn't care for the finale. Batman didn't have to go out like that. Would have preferred a uniting of he, Robin and Catwoman.

Pittsburgh didn't really stick out because of the edits, but it was nice to have some of the inside story on how the movie was made.

2. Seven Psychopaths
3. Silver Linings Playbook
4. Lincoln
5. Life of Pi
6. The Master

Can someone recommend a cold war/political thriller? I haven't seen a movie I unexpectedly really liked in some time.

A few along the lines of what I'm looking for are Thirteen Days, anything with Jack Ryan, Enemy of the State, Spy Game, etc.

Looper was really good.

Every time I see a time travel movie it reminds me more and more how time travel is impossible.

Also check out Gotcha with Anthony Edwards. Really good and not very well known 80's cold war thriller set in Berlin.

This. I haven't seen the recent version yet, but the miniseries with Alec Guinness from the 1970s is excellent.

I should pick up the XIII miniseries. The comic was awesome so I'm hoping the film adaptation is as well.

Has anyone seen it?

It's impossible to us because we can't perceive 4th dimensional space-time. If it were to work, it wouldn't work like BTTF where you punch in a year and it goes there. It would have to involve opening a wormhole through a dimension on a higher plane, since space and time are relative terms, and have no real meaning in the grand scheme of things. Like, think about where you are now. You might say, I'm on my couch or I'm art my desk at work. But you are actually on a planet that is following an orbit, which is in a solar system that is following an orbit, in a galaxy that exists in a constantly expanding universe.

Also, 3:15 pm on January 28, 2013 is a totally arbitrary sequence of numbers when you stop to think about it.

Back on the topic of movies, I watched one called The Baby yesterday. I remember somebody posting a trailer for it last year, and saw it on streaming Netflix. Kinda boring. Can't recommend.
