I did the watch the whole Bond thing last year (2011) during my semester break. Netflix had all of them up to the last two Brosnan movies, and I owned the two Craig movies (out at that time). Pretty awesome, and very cool to see the growth in the films. Definitely recommended, should you ever have the time.

Rewatched Skyfall this weekend. Very enjoyable.

I feel like 2012 had 3 of the better movies I've seen in recent years with skyfall, Lincoln, an Django.

there are sequels. they are worth seeing for their own merits, i guess... but they have nothing to do with the original other than the killer's name. Different actress (Bruce Springsteen's sister actually), different cast, different writer and director, more comedies than outright horror. some pretty creative kills in them, though. stay away from Return to Sleep Away Camp, though. that one is unwatchable.

Given the recent explanation of Froggy's movie habits, if I haven't heard of a movie and Froggy thinks it should be watched...not watching it. Maybe if he knows someone that acted in it though.

Speaking of my questionable taste in movies, I watched one last week called Tammy and the T Rex, about a girl who's boyfriend was beaten to death by thugs, and his brain was put in a robot dinosaur body. Then, they find each other and take vengeance on the bad guys, and then she takes his brain and puts it in a jar, and they lived happily ever after.

It starred Denise Richards as Tammy, Paul Walker as the T Rex, and Bernie from Weekend at Bernies as the mad scientist. 5 stars.

Saw this years ago when I was like 12. What an awful movie, though as a 12 year old, the final scene is pretty fantastic.

I have a question thats been bothering me about this OZ the Great and Powerful movie or whatever it is. Not that I'm seeing it because I hate the Wizard of Oz...freaked me out as a kid, but isnt Oz a place? The previews make it seem like James Franco is the wizard but they are calling him the great and powerful Oz? I just always thought you had just the wizard, but he was the wizard of Oz, a place.

Loved him in Phone Booth.

That is to say, I enjoyed his acting in the movie Phone Booth. I didn't actually do any acts in a phone booth or anything. Just clearing that up. Ok, thanks.

Edit: also thought he was solid in Minority Report. Not that I was under a pre-conceived notion that he was in another state, like liquid or gas. Or Nebraska.

just rented "the perks of being a wallflower" over the weekend, I thought it was very well done and ended up watching it 4 times in 3 days. One of the better high school/coming of age movies I've seen in awhile and struck just the right balance between drama and comedy for my taste. the pittsburgh-centric scenes also lent a surreal element, making a film that already vaguely reminded me of my high school experience, seem even closer to home for me personally.

he was bad/mediocre in:

Daredevil
Phonebooth (movie sucked; not his fault)
SWAT (movie sucked; not his fault)
Hart's War (silly premise, imo)
the new world
miami vice

he was good/solid in:
minority report
the recruit
in bruges
crazy heart
total recall
7psychopaths (even though the movie was kinda crappy)
