did you notice when he first found the scout ship, 1 of the pods was open and empty, rest had skeletons.

Spoiler:
Yes. That was one of the few things that I did not get.

Spoiler:
There was a prequel comic written by David Goyer and Zack Snyder. I haven't read it, but know the basic plot. The scout ship was piloted by the character that becomes Supergirl. Everyone else was murdered inside their pod. She escaped and is somewhere on Earth. Could be dead. Could be alive.

Spoiler:
Interesting find for sure. No idea on how or if they impliment that in to anything.

Here are some more easter eggs that lay tribute to the smallville tv show if anyone ever watched it. Really interesting stuff.

Enjoyed Monsters, Inc. years ago with my kids, but have little to no interest in Monsters U.

But looking forward to Despicable Me 2.

Is that an appropriate age to take them to a movie? My son is 19 months and can sit through about 25 minutes of TV at the moment. That's not a bad thing and we don't watch too much TV in the house anyway. I want to take him to a movie and was wondering when it would be a good time. I guess it depends on the child and how long they can keep attention on something. Maybe in the next 6 months or so he will be ready.

what's the motive for taking a 2 year old to a movie? i'm not judging, i'm just wondering. like, do you have a 5 year old too, and you're just bringing the 2 year old along? or is it going to be something fun for you as well?

Technically my son is 27 months old, and he has been enamoured with monsters inc since we got the blu ray rerelease in the fall. I can't say for sure he'll make it through the whole movie, but there is a first time for everything.

I hate to be the grumpy guy, but I can't stand babies in the theater. Maybe I just have had bad experiences where they just won't shut up and cry the whole time.

I just watched The Thing on IFC as well. Just hate that the station has commercials. Kills the mood.

I own the Blu-Ray so I can watch it whenever I please. Was just annoyed at the time on IFC that they had commercials.

Monsters U was a decent kids movie, and continued the trend of Pixar movies being just average
