Warm Bodies -- Meh. Ok I guess. Nothing great.

Snitch -- Standard action movie with the Rock. Enjoyable.

Cars 2, Brave, and Monsters University have come afterToy Story 3. Cars and Cars 2 are the only Pixar movies I haven't seen, but critic reviews were pretty bad for both of them. I really enjoyed Brave though.

Sorry not happy ending per se, but it should have ended when

Spoiler:
Jake GYlenhall's character was speaking at his partners funeral. Ending with the "He was my brother line" The part in the police car afterwards laughing etc, just seemed to be a stupid tacked on ending.

I can get on board with that. It for sure wasn't a happy ending though.

But he did want to explore the question "who was the big guy in the chair?" (The Space Jockey) So nothing that they do in "Prometheus" connects straight up to "Alien".

HOWEVER...... they make a bunch of story and directorial decisions that seem as if they were purposefully attempting to confuse the audience and make them think what they are seeing is the planet, Derelict spacecraft, and alien being from "Alien". Take my word for it, they are not. You will think they are as you watch. But they aren't. I can explain after you see it if you like.

So, yes. Pretend it's an original work of science fiction that has no connection whatsoever to any other film from ever.

Ok, that was alright, as far as overblown space films go.
Better than say, "Mission to Mars", but nothing spectacular.

World War Z.

Good action flick as long as you can ignore the fact that its nothing like the book.

What reviews have you read for the first Cars that were bad? The worst review I saw for it was lukewarm at worst. Most said it was decent, but lacked the soul of the other Pixar efforts up to that point. Cars 2 was a real critical turd. But I'm always going to have a soft spot for the first one because of the Italian tire shop cars (I actually have a plushy of one of them on my computer), and the fact that Paul Newman voices one of the leads, and both Mario Andretti and Michael Schumacher have cameos.

So..... you didn't have any problems with the confusing and contradictory characters? The gaping plot holes and inconsistencies?

Not talking about it from the perspective of canon or anything as a fanboi. Just straight up "this movie does not make any sense".

I thought the dance scene climax ending was kind of lame...but the rest of the movie was really great. I guess it's difficult to come up with a good ending for that kind of plot....but either way, the ending was pretty dumb, mostly in comparison with how good the rest of the movie was.

Spoiler:
I see where you are coming from with this. It definitely seemed overly saccharine sweet over the final 15 minutes, especially compared with much of the rest of the movie. They were definitely aiming for the crowd-pleaser finish.
