Hearing some outstanding things about The Conjuring...sounds like it is legitimately terrifying.

Apparently, despite the fact it was given an R rating by the MPAA, there isn't really any cursing, gore, or sex. They gave it the R rating as opposed to a PG-13 because it's just too scary.

I'm automatically skeptical of any horror movie that makes claims of being the scariest movie ever in its commercials. Paranormal Activity made me a bit cynical.

No. It didn't make this claim in the commercials. These are the reviews.

Also, those quotes are often paid for/made up entirely.

Essentially, this group of degenerates get paid to film themselves doing stupid stuff (busting up houses, getting girls to flash, etc.), when one gets a big offer that says to go to this house and find a specific VHS tape. The whole thing is shot in POV, and the tapes they watch to try to find the right one add up to essentially 5 short horror movies, and they're all pretty creepy.

Well it could just be four rooms with a slight plot around it.

Actually, yes. But i'm pretty sure I meant to have all of this answered in the first post I made about VHS. I asked what it was about.

You know what? You're right, you did say that. And I am sorry for my lack of detail.

I'm going to skip the whole thing, thats why I asked questions beyond the basic plot. Little interest in horror movies.
