Watched dark skies yesterday. It was pretty close to being good, but some thi gs made i stupid. They nailed the ending though. When the credits rolled, i was fully preparing myself to rage. I was thinking, "if the credits dont roll now, this movie sucks" and then miraculously, the credits rolled. Kudos.

V/H/S wasn't bad, for a horror movie. Interesting way to go about it. Thought the one with the trip to the canyon could've been done a little better, and I kinda wish there was an explanation on the house the "main" characters were in.

Saw Pacific Rim in IMAX 3D. Like others have said, great movie for the big screen. If I was 13 again, I'd probably go see this 5 days in a row. Very entertaining.

Swiss Family Robinson - might be my favorite all around family adventure movie, holds up wonderfully, perfect movie.

The Collection -- decent enough followup to the underrated "The Collector" from a few years ago.

Watched the Avengers for the second time (and first since seeing all the movies leading up to it). I think I enjoyed it more actually knowing the background of the main characters.

Followed by Judd Hirsch in Independence Day. A comically abysmal mailed-in performance of a nazi propaganda film Jew character conceived during a bitter bong high.

I feel like I always overlook Jennifer Aniston because I had an irrational hatred of Friends (I just hated....HATED the characters/actors on that show). But good lord she is 44 years old...whew.

I'm almost tempted to spend money to see that "Meet The Millers" movie, even though I know it would be god awful, just to see her in it.

One more note on Horrible Bosses. Kevin Spacey is so, so, so good in that movie.

Spoiler:
The "Gam-Gam" scene is absolutely hilarious.

it's on both, I rented it on prime. That sounds great, I've never been, we are thinking maybe in about 4 years planning a big disney trip with both sides of family once all the kids get a little older.

I did hear that Regal theaters are doing midnight showings of Sharknado. My main theater is a Regal.

I'm getting increasingly annoyed at the reaction to sharknado. It's approaching gangnam style and the Harlem shake on the list of stupid cultural phenomenons.

2nd movie that was on my list was Forward Unto Dawn, which is set in the Halo universe and was apparently a precursor to a full blown Halo movie (FUD was released as a bunch of 15 minute online episodes).

The storyline wasn't half bad (follows a bunch of young UNSC recruits), and the action was surprisingly close to matching the video game. The CGI for the Covenant was really well done. They looked as life-like as one could possibly make them without looking out of place or "fake". Normal video game movies aren't supposed to look this good, and I hope they go through with a Halo movie.
