Always maintained that if you replace the word 'bug' with the word 'Jew', the original ST works on an entirely new level.

the only good jew is a dead jew
shoot a nuke down a jew hole you got a lot of dead jews
heres a bunch of cap troopers that look like they could eat jews for breakfast
those god damn jews whacked us johnny
frankly i find the idea of a jew that thinks offensive
were looking for a jew nobodies ever seen before, some kinda smart jew
just tryin to kill some jews sir!
JEEEEEEEWWWWWWSSSS

I'm glad someone went with it, instead of merely pointing out what a dolt I am for talking about completely the wrong movie.

not that I'll go see it in theaters, but I think this looks pretty cool

I'll be honest, this is the first of the 80s reboots that looks like it might actually have a shot to be as good (if not even better) than the original. It certainly won't have that Paul Verhoeven, er, flair of the original (see above comment to Kaizer) that marked the original as something more than just a B action movie.

I just hope they have something akin to 'toxic waste guy' from the original. :D

Verhoeven's satire is something that I actually quite like in most of his films.... Showgirls being the most prominent exception.

I think Gina Gershon is one of the hottest actresses in the history of ever. I found it impossible to watch her in that movie and not lol at nearly everything.

A Chinese Theater Accidentally Used a Gay, Fan-Made Thor Poster and It's Glorious
This is where we chime in with a joke about Asgard, right? The poster (below) reportedly appears outside a Shanghai cinema, and was spotted by this Korean site (the translation reads: Thor in a Shanghai theater (hahahaha) How are you going to solve it?) and on China's social media platform Weibo.

In other movie news....

STAR WARS: EPISODE VII TO OPEN DECEMBER 18, 2015
With pre-production in full-swing, a confirmed release date of December 18, 2015, has been set for Lucasfilm's highly anticipated Star Wars: Episode VII.

"We're very excited to share the official 2015 release date for Star Wars: Episode VII, where it will not only anchor the popular holiday filmgoing season but also ensure our extraordinary filmmaking team has the time needed to deliver a sensational picture," said Alan Horn, chairman of The Walt Disney Studios.

Last week, Iger was all sturm und drang about "WE HAVE TO RELEASE IN 2015!!!!" I guess this technically counts, coming out with 13 days to spare. But pushing back seven months from the traditional late May release timeframe speaks to what has to be some very real issues with Arndt's screenplay work.

Summer 2015 is so loaded though, given what it will be directly competing against (like Avengers 2) maybe its a smart move all the way around.

Now it goes against warcraft, with Duncan Jones directing, I'd rather see that (probably be in the minority on that one)

I just have a hard time believing there's no connection to the near panic about releasing in 2015 last week despite studio pressure, and then this week finding out the movie is coming out with only 13 days left in the year. That's not a fear of cannibalism, that's a fear that Kennedy and Kasdan were right.

For a 12 year old boy as I was in 1995, Showgirls was one of my first forays into the erotic. The fact that it was Jesse from Saved by the Bell made it all the more titillating.

Agree with tif on Gina Gershon too. Mmmm

showgirls could have no nudity in it at all, and it would be just as amazing. In fact, I think I actually prefer the VH1 version, where they do poor quality cgi bikinis on everybody. The dialogue in it is hilariously terrible.

More info on Wonder Woman in Batman vs. Superman.

http://batman-news.com/2013/11/07/olga-kurylenko-wonder-woman-batman-vs-superman/

Candidates are: Jamie Alexander (her commitment to Marvel is apparently taking her out of the running), Olga Kurylenko, Gal Gadot, and Elodie Yung. I've never heard of the last two and as much as I love to look at Olga Kurylenko, none of those three really strike me as "Wonder Woman".

wonder woman needs some meat on her bones, those girls look like they would break very easily, which makes me question if this really is for wonder woman?

Rileah Vanderbilt does a pretty good job in this effective, if somewhat poorly staged and directed, fan film/trailer for WW.

But I tend to side with Gina Carano. Because Gina Carano is teh yum.

That's my biggest issue with the four candidates. Jamie Alexander I can buy because she does a pretty solid job as Sif, but all in all none of them embody an Amazonian superhero princess. It could be for another character, but WB seems hell bent on getting as many DC characters into this movie as possible (a Flash cameo has been mentioned by Variety), so it seems unlikely. There is also the rumor that she'll only appear as Diana Prince being Bruce Wayne's love interest with Wonder Woman appearing in the future, but that brings up the previously mentioned issue of Bruce is going to know she's Wonder Woman. He's Batman. He knows everything.

Or maybe I need to give Zack Snyder and David Goyer more credit and the relationship between Diana and Bruce is a ruse so he can further investigate her. Whatever.

In Batman Returns or The Dark Knight Rises? Regardless of how you answer that, Batman characterized as a paranoid, unhinged, obsessive vigilante (as he is generally characterized now) would without question know if a potential love interest had a secret identity.
