It's not for everybody but I find it hilarious and it is one of my favorite movies. Ralph Fiennes absolutely steals the show.

Seven Psychopaths is written and directed by the same guy if you haven't seen it yet. It's not as good as In Bruges but it is still a good movie.

I have to say this again to save some of you people time. Avoid White House Down. I had dreams that I was yelling at myself for watching it last night. Channing Tatum, Jamie Foxx and Maggie Gylanhall are all absolutely terrible and it makes me wonder how they get work after this. I'd say watch it just to make fun of it, but it was so mindbogglingly dumb that it just made me want to punch stuff out of frustration. I really enjoy a good dumb action flick, but this is ridiculous. Go watch Olympus has fallen, pretty much the same movie but actually fun. They make it painstakingly clear in the first 20 minutes of this movie what and how it's going to end. They actually foreshadow a 11 yr old girls flag waving talent show to save everyone at the end. When my wife said that, I didn't think in the history of cinema it could be true, but here we are. This is the most incompetent US military, govt, police force, etc ever put on the silver screen. BLAH! I'm still so mad! Pretty sure this is my new most hated movie, are you happy now Wolverine: Origins? I seriously want to go knock on a strangers door and sock them in the stomach I'm so worked up from this garbage.

I should rephrase that, it's no longer a garage, it's a giant cement cube filled with f'ing toys, How the hell do kids accumulate this much stuff?

If I have kids I'm going to only keep a 3-5 toys for them until they are old enough to walk and talk. The rest will be returned and the money put in a college education fund. My nephews and nieces got millions of toys for their early birthdays and were more content playing with the boxes and wrapping paper than the actual toys.

Its a cement cube? So what you're saying is that the structure can handle and contain a fire? Just sayin'.

Speaking of movies, picked up the Alien Anthology blu-ray set when it was on sale from Amazon... going to start work on that today. Also got the extended edition of the Hobbit (which I don't even remember pre-ordering, but it shipped with the AA, so whatever) but I may wait to watch that until I visit my family next time.

I literally fill 55 gallon trash bags with toys once a month for goodwill and it doesn't make a difference. It's like my house plays cruel tricks on me, it's terrifying. I have a 5 foot seal blown up in the garage and the stupid air plug is so cold it won't open so that's pretty much what my life is like right now

We taught our kids early on that each year in November, they had to go through all their toys and keep a few and then they had to bag the rest to give to "poor children who didn't have many toys so they could have fun too". And this way, "Santa would have room to bring them more stuff." At least I got rid of some of the old stuff rather than accumulating it.

Forgot this was the Movie thread. I was going to rent White House Down today, thanks for the warning.

I thought White House Down was fine as mindless shut your brain off at the door action flick.

Olympus Has Fallen was basically the same film as well.. and also felt the same about it... turn your brain off and watch stuff blow up.. .not a bad way to spend 90 minutes or so.
