That's really surprising given the majority of good reviews, I'm looking forward to it

We saw it last night as well. I enjoyed it. Thought it was better than 1

probably going to go see Dallas Buyer's Club tomorrow. I think it looks really good, even with the stupid title.

Last of the Mohicans last night. One of my favorites, always enjoy revisiting it. On some of the scenes around the waterfall or rapids I noticed the sound cutting out as if they were trying to mute the water to enhance the voices, it sounds terrible. Love the soundtrack and set locations.

LOTM is one of my favorite films from the 90s. It's actually a fantastic film to demo a home theater system; not just for the bombastic battle noises but also the wonderful quiet moments in the woods.... the different sounds of different textiles brushing against the leaves, the background hum of the forest. Great stuff. And the music is fantastic, as well.

Also has one of my favorite movie insult lines ever. When Maj Heyward accuses Cora of being infatuated with Hawkeye, she says, "Duncan, you are man of few admirable qualities. But taken as a whole I was wrong to have thought so highly of you." Boom.

I have the dts DVD, but thought I'd give the Netflix hd streaming a chance, surrounds were pretty much nonexistent, big mistake. I'd like to upgrade to the Blu to see the difference

Watched Cell 211 a few days ago. Really good Spanish prison flick with an original concept. Prison guard gets stuck in a riot on his first day and has to pose as an inmate so he isn't killed. Solid acting. Not as much violence as you may expect. Subtitled so be prepared.

Randomly watched Lethal Weapon 2 today again. The whole series is so fun to watch, even the not quite as good 3rd or 4th ones

Saw Catching Fire earlier today. Haven't read the books, but the wife is a big fan and we saw the first in theaters, as well. Definitely a watchable movie.

LW1 is an all-time classic action film. Simply outstanding. LW2 was solid, if a noticeable step down in quality. I actually really liked LW3, mostly because Gibson and Rene Russo had a clear chemistry. 4 was terrible for the 100 minutes Jet Li wasn't on screen.

How did you like it compared to 1?

One was better in the tidy little package sort of sense. This was a lot of setup and asked questions you want answered plus it fleshed out what it means to win the games and how a person's life can be affected.

It's been a LONG time since I saw any of the LW films... I remember seeing the first 2 at the drive-in. Not sure I ever saw 3 and definitely never saw 4. When I hear "Lethal Weapon", the one thing I always think of is the toilet bomb scene.

I like 2 the most I think. Riggs isn't funny enough in the first one. 3 suffers from a relatively lousy plot. So does 4, but all of them have good character moments.

I always liked how ruthless the villains were though. LW2 is actually one of my moms favorite films for that reason.

One of my favorite lines from a villain in any movie "Who's the d*ckhead now, eh?"

Don't buy the 4 Blu-ray combo pack. Lethal weapon 2 is marked Lethal Weapon 2 but it is the movie Swordfish. I am still waiting for warner brothers to send me the correct one.

It's a good price though $20 for all 4 movies.

Planes wasn't very good, still better than Cars 2. Dane Cook doesn't have to be on screen to annoy me, he has a terrible voice.

saw Young Adult over the weekend. i liked it. it's very rare to see a female lead in a movie that has this level of substance.

and charlize theron is, objectively, just about as good looking as a person can get.
