They'll love Rocket and Groot. Definitely download I Want You Back by the Jackson 5 - they'll be dancing the car ride home.

Jackson 5 already thier #2 goto band behind beatles so that's great. Thanks for the tip, I really wanted to see this movie. It's always a lot tougher to enjoy the movie at the drive ins late with the 2 year old...

I'm currently watching Terminator: Salvation (slow day at work...) and it's terrible. Finally exploring non-English speaking countries with Netflix has expanded my viewing potential quite a bit. I'm thinking of ditching the rest of this movie and going for Pacific Rim or Ender's Game. I'll save God's Not Dead for tonight with the wife as either an appetizer or dessert for The Amazing Spiderman.

Ender's Game was pretty good, but almost came off like two separate films.

Then again, I feel the same way about Full Metal Jacket. Love the first half, meh to the second part.

spider man 2 felt like a marketing ploy for the franchise. It wasn't terrible but I felt duped.

Ever read the books? Gustav Hasford was nutty. The first book is a pretty good read if you're a fan of the film, but the follow on books go down a weird Apocalypse Now kind of trip.

I still loved First Class but this is spot on. Most of these "How ____ should have ended" are pretty funny.

Yes. It's a good independent comedy. It's not great but it is pretty darn good. Worth the watch on netflix IMO.

One problem with Days of future past...

Spoiler:
why not go back into the past even more to say 1953 and kill Trask before research for the Sentinels even started?

my biggest gripe with the movie is that apparently 70s technology is better than modern technology.

I'd be surprised if we saw anything like the sentinel from the movie in the next 100 years, let alone 40 years ago.

Back.

Spoiler:
I may have/must have missed a load of things, because otherwise this film was awful. Lacked all the story and style of the first one, despite trying desperately to replicate it.

It also stars Liev Schreiber, who was the only good thing about the "Sum Of All Fears".

And to this day, I have a hard time reconciling that he is the narrator of 'Hard Knocks' on HBO. Disembodied, his voice just don't seem to match.

I'd hoped they would make more John Clark films with him in them, but alas...

He's also the HBO hockey show 24/7 narrator...and TV's Ray Donovan.

Tom Hardy was cast [supposedly] as John Clark for a version of Without Remorse in a combined Chris Pine/Jack Ryan world, but with Jack Ryan having flopped I'm not sure what Paramount is going to do.

Clark is the best character in the Jack Ryan universe. I thought Willem Dafoe was badly miscast in "Clear & Present Danger", but Schreiber was absolutely pitch perfect.

So walter mitty is basically a white collar version of jd from scrubs...and the movie is basically a bunch of poorly excecuted cutaways of some guy's daydreams. Cant wait to watch the rest of it play out...

God's Not Dead is on the docket for tonight although we may watch First Class since the wife hasn't seen it yet.

It thrned out better than i expected. Once the movie developed and they moved away from the cutaways, it was good. I think that probably had more to do with the plot's progression than just getting rid of the daydreams though.
