Near the Mcknight interchange between the new Sheetz and Large Plain/Sunoco/thrift store. Near the Shop 'n Save.

Any recommendations for reasonable priced meals in Toronto and Niagara Falls?

Antica Pizza in Niagara Falls is great. Canyon Creek is in both Toronto and Niagara Falls, and while it's a chain, is very good and reasonable.

I had Mario Di Carlo's pizza today out near Oakdale. It was verrry good. $1 a slice is good deal too, 4 slices and a drink for <$6. I like the "put the cheese and toppings on after its done cooking" style.

DiCarlo's pizza is very good. Started in my hometown of Wheeling, WV in 1949 by Gaudo Dicarlo. If it's not in Wheeling, it's a knockoff. His kids and him had a falling out and they branched out on their own. They tried to replicate the recipe and have come close but not quite. The Original DiCarlos Famous Pizza is the one. The best one is in Elm Grove, WV. He actually sued his kids to use a different name, hence Mario DiCarlos. While good, it cannot touch the original and be worth the trip to see a Nailers game (preferably on dollar beer night) and pick some up. Just call ahead first and do yourself a favor and get a bag of cheese to go with it.

Location: Depends. I might be here, but I could be there. Hard to tell sometimes.

It was very good, I will have to remember that next time I'm in the area. The cheese was great, too. I was kind of off=put by the bagged pepperoni. I thought they could have done something better, like stick or shredded pepperoni.

went to meat and potatoes monday for the first day of restaurant week. 4 course prix fixe for 35/person

course 1 - scrapple with fried egg and maple apple bourbon butter
course 2 - mini duck ham and cheese sammies on toasted brioche with pickle relish and cranberry mustard
course 3 - beef and pork meatloaf with corn mashed potatoes topped with bacon jam, chanterelle mushrooms and gravy
course 4 - warm brownie with whipped cream and berries

everything was excellent. the meatloaf with the sides was tops. as per usual with meat and potatoes the service is average to below average (server spilled water on me when pouring and just said oops that happens alot with these bottles) and the space is overcrowded but the food is worth it. also had the old fashioned which was overpriced for the volume received but very delicious.

also worth noting, i am staying away from gluten forever. yesterday was rough

went to social in bakery square last night. food was okay. everything was over priced. had the bourbon bash cocktail which was very good but the volume was not reflective of the price. fries with sriracha ketchup and aioli were meh. sauces were nice but fries unimpressive. not sure if i would go back. they have brunch starting this weekend so will try that out

Something about that place makes me never want to go there.

Had brunch at E2 last weekend, my friend used to wait there so we got treated real well. But even aside from that, it was a fun place. GF got the fritata and I got the omelette...i made the wrong decision on that one. The barry white donuts were out of this world though.

social reminds kenny the kangaroo of the short lived j&l grill in the souf side works. seems like a good setting to watch a game, but the food is underwhelming.
