Yeah burgatory is in waterworks. Would have to get off at Allegheny valley exit then head south on 28 to fox chapel.

Went to Olives & Peppers, Italian place up route 8 in Bakerstown, past Lowe's. It's a tiny place, but very good. Huge portions, pretty reasonable prices, homemade flavor/feel. Had the stuffed peppers, fettucine bolognese. Mrs. E had a mushroom ravioli. Also got a pepperoni, meatball and artichoke pizza to-go. The one piece i had was fantastic.

I know no one will probably ever experience it, but I have to post because it was the best Chinese I've ever had - master of the Wok in Scottdale. Little mom and pop takeout only, cash only spot. Best general tsos I've ever had. Amazing won ton. And great fried rice.

Curry on Murray in Squirrel Hill was terrible. So that and Bangkok Balcony both suck. Coriander is passable for Indian, but all in all, squirrel hill is a little late to the party of people moving from chinese to other asian cuisines.

bankok balcony seems like it would be a good place to eat (if bankok balcony is the asian food place on the second floor of some building on forbes)

Best Indian in Pgh was Udipi Cafe in Monroeville.
I assume that's still true.

The Hindu temple in Monroeville sometimes sells food in the basement. Maybe just when they have concerts going on? It was always very good (as are the classical Indian cobcerts).

The Thai restaurant in Bloomfield (on Liberty) is pretty good. Or was, I haven't eaten there since they reduced their space to open a Asian gift shop.

The best Thai place was Mai Thai on Walnut. Rent went up on the building, owner couldn't afford it and the restaurant closed. Which stinks, it was a fantastic place. Have yet to find a Thai place that good in the city limits.

Thai Cuisine is still great. Pussadee Garden is also really good, good enough to skip town in the winter and close shop to enjoy south asian weather.

I have heard good things about that place. I intend on trying both Noodlehead and smiling banana leaf in the near future.

I like Noodlehead pretty well. And I'm very excited for the bridge from my place to S Highland to reopen tonight.
