I really like Hunan Wok in Moon. Not SH but felt like mentioning it.

The private equity firm that owns the majority stake of BK owns half of Heinz.

this gentleman had beef on weck from beef n barrel a few years back. the beef is really tasty, but the salt on the bun can be a little too much salt.

Yeah, I usually brush off about half the salt on the bun, because it does tend to be a tad over the top at times.

Did the wqed rick seback special motivate you to have that sandwich? Arguably the greatest alumni from Bethel Park High School, Mr Seback.

Negative, although the Eat PA specials with dave and dave are highly motivational whwen it comes to food. Kenny the kangaroo had an ex gf that grew up in the great norfwest of PA, so during one trip we enjoyed the beef on weck.

Fun fact: kenny the kangaroo once spotted rick sebak getting gas at the get go in regent square. unfortunately this gentleman didnt really have anything clever to say.

I've been going up since I was a little kid eating these things with the family, me mom is from up around there so it's become tradition to go up and feast. While I've tried to make them at home and the salt was too much, I never thought it was too much up there.

This seriously saddens me. My parents divorced when I was a baby, and growing up my dad lived in Binghamton. When I or my brother (or both) would go up for a visit, our parents would each drive halfway and meet in the middle for the transfer. The selected transfer site? Olean, NY. I've passed through that town dozens of times, and I was never aware of this place, let alone ate there. Imagine all the beef on weck I could have eaten over the years.

interesting is that i was coming to post about my most recent miserable experience at the porch on saturday. probably will avoid it for a while. there was a table of 8 next to us. the two sitting closest to us were grandpa (gramps) and grandson (junior). gramps ordered a burger and junior ordered a pizza. gramps ate all of his crispy taters and about all of his burger except 2 bites. he then told the server it was overcooked and sent it back. server re-appeared with new burger and all the fixins. when the server came back with gramps' food, junior said that his pizza was too doughy. junior asked for a new pizza. junior had already eaten 6 of the 8 slices. server came back a few minutes later with juniors new pizza. compounded by this, my fiancee and i ordered the potatoes to start as soon as we sat down as we were famished. the potatoes came along with 2 smaller bread plates. during the midst of the potatoes, we ordered the cheese plate. cheese plate came and our large serving dish + bread plates were not cleared. when our entrees arrived we had 3 empty cocktail glasses, 2 water glasses, an empty glass of diet coke, 2 bread plates, large cheese platter and potato plate on our table. the server looked at me like to take the plate of food. i tried but the thing was scalding hot so i dropped it and broke the plate (later did we realize that he had oven mits on so his flesh wasnt melting off). new food was brought out, no discounts issued. during the course of our email, my fiancee ran out of diet coke. i walked up to the bar to get some since the server disappeared and was promptly told to 'wait a f****ing second'. manager eventually came over and topped me off.

all in all - excellent dining experience.
