Shyster wrote:Went last night with my brother and sister-in-law to Everyday Noodles in Squirrel Hill. We ordered five spice eggplant, soup dumplings, veggie dumplings, shao mai, bok choy with minced pork, potstickers, and rolled pancakes, and I further ordered a bowl of Szechuan Dan Dan noodles. The wheat noodles and dumplings are all made in house behind a big glass window, and everything was delicious. When they say something is spicy, they mean it. Szechuan food is supposed to be spicy, and I was sweating away while eating my Dan Dan noodles. The most expensive item on the menu is $12, and portion sizes aren't small, so you can order a variety without breaking the bank. Highly recommended.

For all the asian restaurants in squirrel hill, Everyday Noodle is my favorite. Chaya is a great Japanese restaurant and Coriander is standard indian fare. I enjoy the scallion pancake things, potstickers, cold chicken sesame noodle and Dan Dan Noodles.

tried to go to kaya for lunch yesterday and they were still service brunch which was a pleasant surprise. chicken and waffles with tobasco butter and chilaquiles with housemade chorizo. both pretty good, chicken and waffles not in the same tier as meat and potatoes or union pig and chicken but still tasty

It was around 400 with the tip for 7 of us. Went last week. No apps on menu, entrees only. Homemade focaccia with oil/tomato/balsamic/garlic dip which was excellent. Very nice portions in general, not obnoxiously PGH sized. BYO as well. Entrees range from 30-50 or so. Some of the best desserts I have ever had as well.

I think they are on about a 2 month wait for reservations.

Speaking of the Souh Hills, I see that Jose and Tony's is still in business......I'm guess that place isn't very good.

Off The Hook in Cranberry...easily one of the best places to eat up here and definitely the best seafood to be had in cranberry. worth the money.

I liked Off the Hook, but thought it was too expensive. Not as high quality as it seems to think.
