Anyone ever eat at Bonefish Grill? They just opened one up in the South Hills.

they have this buffalo/spicy style shrimp that is out of this world. i went to one about 8 years ago in sarasota and i still yearn for it

It's a cool place. Pretty expensive if you want to drink and not just order a pizza. I've been twice, once had a gnocchi dish that wasnt special, also had a prosciutto pizza that was pretty good. I'm still undecided about it, I feel like mt lebanonites beat their chest about it a lot cause of its authenticity.

Truth Lounge in the southside... it's new and really nice inside and the food is great, drinks are strong

beans and greens soup was pedestrian. no flavor. had panzorotti which was not good. has pizza with sweet fennel sausage which was amazing. not a bad wine selection. the waiting situation is far from ideal.

I mean, that goes without saying. but these people are outright giddy over the fact that this place has that wine cellar/wine bar/garage attached to the restaurant. "did you go to the wine bar?'

Did green forest tonight. It was pretty good. I just wish the gauchos would give you bigger pieces of meat. I kept having to ask for 2 pieces

Litt, Have you gone to the meat and potatoes brunch? They have a DJ playing records during brunch I gather? Not sure if that's a new thing or not. Looking for some insight on the atmosphere on that, I want to check that out.

if they have one spinning, it must have occurred within the last month. i have been there 7-10 times for brunch. it used to be amazing. the first few times i had gone they had jalapeno and cheddar waffles with friend chicken and maple bacon bourbon syrup. it was truthfully one of the best things i have ever eaten. the last few times i have been, it has been gone from the menu. some things i have tried have been the brisket and eggs which is pedestrian, brisket not cooked long enough. short rib hash, probably second best item. irish benedict, not very good. carbonara, pretty good but heavy. other than the chicken and waffles, everything is pretty marginal. they have a bloody mary bar that is worth the visit though. they have their house infused vodkas and gins (bacon, jalapeno, and a few others) with all their fixins which are delicious.

Still sounds like it's worth checking out for sure, and the prices for brunch looks pretty reasonable.

Primanti's >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Skyline Chili (and I'm not even a huge fan of Primanti's, though I love their pizza).

The cinnamon overload in the chili is not for me.

The inconsistencies between amount of slaw on the sandwiches is irritating. I feel like the greensbhrg location you get less than 1/2 inch thick slaw, in the city you get over 1" of slaw

On the other end of the spectrum, Piada. Basically, an Italian Chipotle/Qdoba. You'd probably have to eat there a few times to get the right combo of ingredients, but man it was good.

Seems like they only exist in the Dayton and Columbus area, but hopefully it makes its way to PA.

this summer kenny the kangaroo will be making a road trip and going through cinci. skyline chili is right up there in terms of fast food that must be tried.
