Spent the day moving boxes to our new house. Tomorrow we move the "big" stuff... couch, beds, tables, dressers, etc. I'm actually happy I moved all the boxes today. Tomorrow will suck, just not as hard as if I had 30 boxes to move along with all the stuff.

Went to my first auction today. Wasn't planned until I heard the PA from about 4 blocks away. Ended up winning 4 oak chairs for $15. Didn't think how I was getting them back to my place, but somehow managed to fit them all into my car.

That's so weird.

I opened this thread this morning with the intent of posting the following story and saw Mac's above post:

The folks who handle my scheduling are trying to talk me into doing a job in Tulsa Oklahoma. The biggest selling point? There's a resturaunt down there that reportedly has the best Mac-and-cheese in the country.

YIL that the reason it's called the Sooner state is because settlers started claiming land there prior to the US government officially opening up the territory.

I know I've posted dogshaming on here before. Would this be called teenshaming?

Image

A teenage girl has been forced to stand by the side of a busy road holding a sign accusing her of 'disrespect' towards her family.
15-year-old Jasmine has had a number of behavioural issues, and the last straw for her parents came when she let a boy into her house in the middle of the night.
So they made her stand out near their home in Palm Coast, Florida, advertising her misdeeds for passers-by to see.
The sign held by Jasmine, whose surname has not been released, read: 'I sneak boys in at 3am and disrespect my parents and grandparents.'

I'm not so sure. Sure the girls shown the tendency to be a tramp, but at least her parents are involved and taking action.

The girl sure looks embarrassed to me.

One thing for certain, they better get that girl on birth control immediately. I don't care if they tell her they're vitiamins or whatever, but if you have a daughter who's already shown that irresponsible behavior, the least you can do is make sure an innocent baby isn't relying on her for food, clothing and shelter.

Its also a situation where I can see the girl going crazy and her psycho 16 year old boyfriend shooting her parents down in the name of love :pop:

I think this whole public shaming **** is a terrible idea but I've voiced that opinion in another "teenshaming" thread
