I'm not so sure. Sure the girls shown the tendency to be a tramp, but at least her parents are involved and taking action.

The girl sure looks embarrassed to me.

One thing for certain, they better get that girl on birth control immediately. I don't care if they tell her they're vitiamins or whatever, but if you have a daughter who's already shown that irresponsible behavior, the least you can do is make sure an innocent baby isn't relying on her for food, clothing and shelter.

Its also a situation where I can see the girl going crazy and her psycho 16 year old boyfriend shooting her parents down in the name of love :pop:

I think this whole public shaming **** is a terrible idea but I've voiced that opinion in another "teenshaming" thread

I'm not a parent so I'm not well-versed in the levels of punishment for a 15 year old girl. But what do you do? He's sent her to her room, took away all electronics, and I assume has her going directly home from school? I get what they're doing. An argument can be had on whether it gets positive results or if it's strictly set up to humiliate the teen.

But since I'm playing devil's advocate and you're saying it's a terrible idea, did you have any ideas or alternatives for punishment?

The Daily Mail should just have an entire section called "Crazy *Charcoal* out of Florida."

similar to LGP's "Tales from Fayettenam" thread?

Christmas Tree is up and lit and the lights are up outside. Absolutely never too early to enjoy the ambiance of having the tree in the house, lights, scent, and all.

There used to be this thing in the past called, "shaming" it happened when someone spouted off out of turn, did something incredibly stupid, or otherwise needed something to set them straight. Then this thing called "suing over everything" came along and all of a sudden shaming wasn't allowed anymore. More people started doing whatever they wanted because there were no repercussions. This kept snowballing into the entitlement of everyone and everyone thinking they deserve something whenever the slightest thing didn't go their way. You see shaming kept people in check, it let them know what was right and was wrong in a social sense, it helped society flow. That is gone now and quite frankly that's a terrible thing.

Personally I think society went downhill once we stopped putting people in the stocks and making cheating wives wear the red "A".

Nah, you're right. The parents should just ignore the fact that the girls sneaking boys into her room at 3am. I mean, what harm could come of that?

The solution is public shaming so all her school mates can dramatize it and make rumors of her being pregnant and being a w***e?

Its not too much a stretch of imagination... thats what kids do now a days... especially when they know a kid's own family ostracises them

edit: had to edit because apparently the "w" word isn't blocked

Yea, public shaming is a bad idea IMO. She needs disciplined sure, but any type of public punishment can make things significantly worse.
