So typical day then?

I'll catch myself watching Pawn Stars from time to time, probably even leaving it on during the marathons despite seeing most of the series at least twice. The Cajun knockoff is terrible. I know 99% of these shows are staged, but the cajun version makes it very obvious based on how the negotiating is done "Ummm....that doesn't sound....like a good deal....to....me. I say we.....go to......(name price)"

Really?!? Have we really run out of ideas to the point where meter maids get their own show?

Parking Wars!

Philly and Detroit meter maids and people at the impound lot yelling.

That show is awesome. I particularly like it when they are at the impound lot and people are flipping out.

I'm seeing Detroit, people, and yelling. So where would you rank this show when compared to Hardcore Pawn?

I used to dvr pawn stars every Monday. I guess after seeing the same episode over and over it just got old. I guess after dealing with the public for so long, I enjoy seeing someone else getting yelled at. And this hardcore pawn...I've truthfully never heard of it.

Hardcore Pawn is on TruTV and is so staged it's painful. At least on Pawn Stars you learn about the items.

Yeah that's the only reason I watched Pawn Stars. If there were no obscure items coming through the door or no explanations about their history, I'm not sure I could care any less about the show. There's only so many times you can hear the old man and Rick call Chumlee dumb or watch Rick and Corey argue over buying something that they either overpaid for or won't sell.

Hardcore Pawn is just as staged as the rest of them. But if you like watching arguments between people set in a pawn shop, Hardcore Pawn is your show.

Speaking of pawn stars why is it that networks copy each other? I saw history is now doing a gold rush show. There's like 3 of those already in gold rush and jungle gold. Pawn shops have like 3 different shows on different networks. Why copy each other

I think it's nothing more than "I like your idea, but we can do it better", and usually it ends up tanking.

Scarlett Johansson in "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" on Broadway for a limited run...

Not normally a Broadway guy but that sounds intriguing
