What Willie Kool said. It just looks stupid and fake if she is just holding the rifle gingerly in her hands

But she is not ready to shoot at anything, and one of the fundamental rules of gun safety is "Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target" (as phrased by famed gun writer Jeff Cooper) or "Always keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot" (as phrased by the NRA). The woman in that picture is observing proper gun handling.

We were actually contemplating giving Mason jars out as a favor for everyone to drink from for the night, but instead are getting beer coozies and pilsner glasses.

Its just the way shes standing it looks like the photo was cropped and pasted out in the woods. It looks like her dress at the right leg cuts off. Weird illusion.

I'm just over the river, but there's a palmetto in the backyard.
They can grow more inland, but they are native to the coastal areas.....not surprisingly.

I don't like hunting, but I would spend time in the prone position with her if you know what I mean.

You go prone in hunting right?...

Agreed, but this is for a portrait. IMO the whole point of this pose is to give the illusion that she IS ready to shoot and not just standing there, posing with a gun.
