Well, it's possible. And in that case, best to think of it as something epically obscure and awesome, that might also be in your wheelhouse.

Wooden peg is rumored to leave splinters. I liked to strength and lack of splinters the latter had with the elegant, old school look the former has.

So, I'm typically a total neat freak. Felix Unger's long-lost daughter. I love organization and cleanliness, a place for everything and everything in its place.

My house--and my person? Currently, a hot mess. And company drops by, unannounced, for just a few minutes. But it's long enough for me to be completely mortified. It's totally my problem, and I should get over it.

A couple that we had a major falling out with is getting married tonight. Yes, they had their wedding and reception New Year's Eve night. Thank God we don't associate with them anymore.

Awesome. I'm still gimping around thanks to my freak accident in October. Doc told me expect good news in mid-February, but my running goes from running 1.5 mi at a slow jog to being completely miserable after .5.

 I know that feeling. Stupid body needs constant upkeep, what a terrible machine.

We made it to see the ball drop, called my parents and wife's parents. Another tradition for us is holding pieces of silver for good luck. Today it's off to the in laws for kielbasa and kraut.

Since when can you not buy a sweatshirt without a hood? Looking to spend some of my Christmas $ on a new Redskins one and everything I can find has a hood, except a couple that must be closeouts because they only have small. I'd need to stitch 2 of those together.

I don't understand the sending of "save the date"s. Why not just send the invitation?

I never got it either. Especially for people who aren't vital to the wedding (family, very close friends, or parts of the wedding parties). I've never seen someone get one and be like "Wow, I need to make sure I clear my calendar that weekend!" I think it's more of a wedding announcement than any practical use. Plus invitation makers get an extra couple hundred bucks out of you.

Old school, stove top popcorn while watching the Dark Knight Trilogy on BluRay with my son. A nice blend of the old and new.

Somehow we got into a discussion about marriage last night. My buddy just got divorced from his wife of about 7 years. We were talking about how damn much weddings cost and he chimed in "I'm divorced and I'm still paying off my wedding" Maybe he was exaggerating to get his point across, i dunno, but holy hell that would make anyone rethink a wedding
