Charleston is the more popular choice, but I like the dog-eared charm of Savannah.
It's beautiful, quaint and rundown at the same time.

Do they not have screens because they choose not to, or is it like a building code?

I have no idea....I guess the assumption is that everyone just runs the a/c 9 months a year.

edit: It's 76 degrees in the house now...

No, Charleston is certainly more well-known, but I absolutely adore Savannah. The squares, River St, Tybee, etc.

columbia, Savannah gets pretty decent ocean breezes, no?

We definitely get some and the weather here is weird.....much cloudier than I would have expected and have been told that it's like that throughout the year.

The fog over the marshes in the AM is pretty damn cool to look at around sunrise.

Jupiter, FL is a lot warmer than Mars, PA this time of year. :p

Are you asking me if I should create a thread asking if it is OK to have free hot tamales?

Inside the Kowloon Walled City where 50,000 residents eked out a grimy living in the most densely populated place on earth

Not to get all existential, but sometimes I wonder how I got to be me and not, say, born in a Taliban-ruled village, or scarred by Chernobyl, or living in the midst of constant war, or in destitute squalor like in Kowloon.

I may not be a supermodel, a real princess, a world-renowned scientist, a stateswoman, or extraordinarily gifted or talented... But I think, relatively speaking and leaving Stuart Smalley out of it, I lucked out and I'm damn grateful.

Bought an 18 pack of Coors Light b/c it was ridiculously low priced.

It's hovering somewhere between COLD and SUPER COLD. Not sure what protocol is when you're in this confusing no man's land.
