I wasn't there, but this is what my friend said the bartender said as he was being thrown out: "Learn a bit about the Troubles before you step back into this bar. You've hurt more than yourself in ordering one tonight." I took that to mean either him or someone in the bar was more personally effected since that reaction by the bartender was more emotional then usual. Most stories I hear of american students ordering them ends in the bartender refusing. Or bringing back a shot and a Guinness and saying to just take the shot of whiskey like man.
