OKAY, SO IT DOESN’T MAKE SMOOTHIES VERY WELL.
Think of it more as a toy. A toy with a whirring blade.
We pride ourselves on honesty, here in the Woot family. At least, that’s how we market it. Really we just like to get out ahead of any criticism and try to take the wind out of its sails. And rarely do we have as much work to do as when something like this EZ 2 Make Jamba Juice Smoothie & Ice Pop Maker comes up for sale.
See, if you’re one of those types of internet shoppers who likes to “research” things and reads “consumer reviews,” chances are good you haven’t read one kind word about this thing. And how surprised can you be that the idea of a combination blender/toy for children didn’t have that “lightning in a bottle” factor? So while we typically pride ourselves on offering you great deals on wild, wacky, wonderful products, sometimes we’re forced to slum it and just say something like, “this is a pretty steep discount.”
So what’s it do? It “makes delicious fruit smoothie drinks and frozen treats at home.” Allegedly. If you can get the power necessary out of 4 C batteries (not included, by the way). And then you can teach your kid the majesty of… uh, working in a smoothie place? Drinking down 600 calories’ worth of fruit in a single sitting? Trying to clean tiny bits of blueberry seed from the bottom of the blender?
To be honest we’re still working out the upside here. But hey! Discount!
