V (ABC)

Postby Sarcastic on Tue Nov 03, 2009 7:18 pm

Hello. Is Anybody watching this? I never got into the series when it originally came out 20 years ago or so. Maybe I was too young or too busy or it just sucked. I don't remember. But I am really looking forward to this one. Two of my favorite actors are on the show: Joel Gretsch from 4400 and Morena Baccarin from Firefly. I really, really, hope they make good work out of this.

I have the DVR set. But I think the show gets canceled pretty quickly.

Why don't they just bring back Firefly? Easily one of my favorite shows of the last 20 years.

I thought it was very good. Acting didn't make me throw up. The overall mood was excellent. Special effects. Music. Spaceship looked great. The city inside did too. Alan Tudyk from Firefly is also here, so this was a nice surprise. When Anna asked Scott Wolf not to ask anything that would make V's seem negative, that was so creepy. She's a good actress. I also like Morris Chestnut. He's also a good actor. Let's see. Media manipulation has begun. The fight in the end where the V's were partially shown what they really look like under human skin - lizards. I now see how they situated themselves and the whole thing seems pretty scary. How do you expose them?

I hope they develop the show well, but they are on the right path.

One interesting thing. V's wish to provide us with universal healthcare. :thumb:

Anyway, there was NOTHING to dissuade me from watching again.

He's not dead, though. Did you see the preview from next week? He's back. I now don't know if they simply made a copy of his "skin" and put a lizard in there (and there is a real, good, Steve The Pirate there too) or if there is no other Steve The Pirate other than the lizard. I can't recall if he was good or evil in the little preview. Or maybe they can put different lizards in the same skin. If one gets killed, they make another one. I dig this. I think I'll watch this episode again sometime this week.

I am looking forward to future episodes, but I thought that it was quite predictable.

Right, I didnt say he was dead. I saw the end part where he re-appears and is firing that gun at her.

No, you didn't. Sorry. I should have phrased that differently.

I thought that's what they showed, but wasn't sure. Come to think of it, when she hit him with the pipe and he was laying on the ground, he DID open his lizard eye, so he wasn't dead, was he. Did someone finish him off after that? I can't remember. I either have ADD or smoked too much pot at some point. I need to watch it again.
