cheapest way to overnite a letter

Postby pittsoccer33 on Wed Nov 04, 2009 10:20 am

my friend ran out of the bar saturday without closing his tab, thinking he was going to have a little luck with a girl. turns out he immediately fell asleep.

ANYWAYS,

Sunday he left for business for three months, and asked me to pick up his card and overnite it to him. Is it cheaper to go thru the post office or fed ex? I don't think theres a UPS depot downtown so I guess thats out.

cheaper to have him go online and order a "new design" for his current card. For most credit cards, it's free.99

You want the cheapest way? Pick the most expensive overnight package available and put it on his charge card, seeing as how you'll have it in your hand and whatnot.

I love when my friends leave their cards behind just so I can charge stuff. My roommate's pretty absent-minded and has left his card at the bar we frequent twice. Needless to say the bartenders are always very impressed with his generosity when he has to step out without his card

when i was in school a friend turned 21. one of her girlfriends (in a quite cranky mood) said to me "help us get her home" to which i responded "i thought her parents were here." The friend yelled at me and told me to quit being so selfish, so I carried her friend from Boomerangs to Bouquet Gardens in Oakland. As we were getting to her door, the cranky one told me she forgot to close her tab. I said I'll take care of it for you, depsite you calling me selfish.

I got to the bar, told the bartender a $1 yuenglings were on me, racked up an extra $70 on her card, went to McDonalds and ordered a Big and Tastey, then went home. That was her lessen in giving for the night.

Beautiful!

Anyway, I know your basic express mail through USPS is around 16 bucks. I don't know about Fed-Ex.

Just fax it to him......

True story...I forget where I heard this, but someone actually tried to fax an OBJECT to somebody. They couldn't figure out how you were supposed to close the cover since the object was so big

Somewhat related, if you mail a letter without postage but put the return address as the person that you want it sent to, and the send to address as your address, will it get sent to your address or the return address. I figure it would be a way to send a letter without paying for the stamp.

lol I'd think that would work actually unless you are mailing something really far away, they'd probably know if something was really far from the return address. But within a town or close distances I can't see why it wouldn't work, I think I might try it now

Find an in town courier. They are cheaper than UPS and Fed Ex, and if it's still within the city, you are good to go. They are usually around $12-$15.
