CFB - Week 10

Postby newarenanow on Sat Nov 07, 2009 8:41 am

Getting pumped. Pitt better take care of business. It still bugs me that they blew that NC State game. Hopefully they crush the Orange to take care of business going into the ND game next week. I just get nervous with this team.

Cincy better take care of Uconn too. Uconn is a good team that blew 4 games late. I want Cincy to run the table so Pitt can take them down on Dec 5th.

I'm actually going to cheat on my Pitt team this week and I'm going up to the PSU vs tOSU game. (Got free tickets) I have no rooting interest, but hate tOSU even more than PSU, so hopefully PSU wins.

Hopefully LSU knocks off Bama and throws a wrench into the who SEC West race.

Is this the game Iowa gets turned around on, falling ahead 10-0 after 1 instead of behind, and blowing a game instead of a comeback?

Wow, they did just that, as NW holds on to win 17-10... helped by the injury to the Iowa QB... looks like he's doubtful for next week at OSU as well. OSU now controls own destiny for big-10 title.

Pitt took care of business with Syracuse. Keeps their hopes alive.

Oops...I made another thread because I didn't see this one.

Iowa was overrated, but losing to NW. Yikes.

Not a great start for PSU special teams. D allows 12 total yards in two series, but it costs them 7 on the scoreboard....

Huge defensive stop there...I'll be shocked if our offense scores 14 points or more this game

Nice. So the receiving team can touch the ball at the 5, by kicking it into the endzone, but it's not a safety, and only a touchback? Yet, on the flip side, a PSU recovery would have been a TD? That doesn't make sense. If a PSU recovery would have been a TD, the OSU recovery should have been a safety.

Well, a win's a win....you win the game and then fix what's wrong.

Well, unless of course you are talking to Wanny...in which case, please relay to him and his players how much of a walkover WVU is! :D

That said, Michigan losing to another B10 bottom feeder and having to beat Wisconsin (on the road) or Ohio State to even finish 6-6 makes my day too!

I think he was only targeted one or two other times. I think the offense had 500 yards, so not much wrong...he did have a long run on an end around.

The win is a nice tune up before the difficult part of their schedule.

next few weeks are huge for pitt. its just frustrating because baldwin is so deadly (see 61 yard run) it seems he hardly ever gets the rock

ND getting a beatdown from Navy on their home turf!

Tough Guy Jimmy C. fumbles on the goal line and then throws an INT inside the redzone to complete the self destruction.

I'm lovin it!

they throw the ball to baldwin a good bit i think...they're are pretty stocked w/offensive game breakers right now, its pretty tough for them to keep everyone involved all the time...plus they really need to just give the ball to lewis as much as they possibly can...the dude is ridiculous, and i can't remember him making a costly fumble yet

I rather enjoy PSU's "tilting at windmills" offense- they keep running on first down even though they can't really run at all on OSU. Adjustments? What are those?

3rd and 1, and PSU not only runs, but tries a goofy pitch that involves pitching it back 5 yards. The results were predictably bad. Just when it looks like they might flip field position, Roy Small breaks a huge punt return.

Lets look around the CFB...

#4 Iowa loses.
#8 Oregon is getting blown out by Stanford
#10 Georgia Tech is tied with Wake
#11 Penn State is losing to the Buckeyes

Pitt should be in the top 10 after this week.
