My friend, who is a diehard soccer (and Seattle Sounders) fan, is coming up to Philly for the US Open Cup final on Sept 16th, and I am heading with him. Much like my previous experience @ DC, I'll be traveling with the Sounders road crew, so I'm expecting it to be a lot of fun. Last time, we got on TV in Seattle, so this should be even more of a spectacle.

I'll take talent any day of the week. There's only 2 managers that could handle psychos like Suarez and Balotelli. One is Klopp and the other just happens to manage LFC.

Balotelli? DO NOT WANT.

He's really good. He's also nuts, and I was really hoping to root for a lunatic-free team this year. He can't be trusted.

Unbelievable. Less than the rumored opening of 17.5mm GBP.

Cool. I've been to 3 or 4 Union games and really like their stadium...nice view, pretty good food and beer selections, every seat I've had has good sight lines (although maybe that's always the case in a relatively small stadium). The Union supporters group usually puts on a good show as well.

I'm a bit surprised Liverpool went this direction. If I were them, I think I would have just kept Origi in the fold instead of loaning him out. Judging by his display in the WC, he's ready at least to be an option off the bench or a short-term starter if injuries dictate, has a lot of upside, and hasn't shown to be the head case Balotelli is. Balotelli is clearly the better player right now when he head is on straight, but I'm not sure he's worth the risk.

What makes you think Klopp could handle psychos?

Although Kloppo isn't actually much of a psycho. He just knows how to sell himself.

While I think Klopp could handle both Suarez and Balotelli, I don't think he'd want any parts of dealing with either. I feel like he would ship them out of the club as soon as possible.

I still can't believe they sold him for so little.

This is almost a no-brainer for Liverpool. Even if he has behavioral issues and they decide to move on in a year, he's still going to return at least 10mm GBP if you sell him next summer, if not more. 16mm is nothing.

Good job idiots.

There are some rumors floating around that it may even be less than 16mm.... Not that I believe that for a sec

The plan according to the Italian papers is that they are going to turn the money from Balotelli into Jackson Martinez -- who is 3 years older and not as good, and will cost them somewhere between 20mm and 30mm Euros (16GBP = 20mm Euros). Good job idiots.

I'm looking forward to Balotelli scoring a hat trick against Spurs then slapping Sterling because Raheem looked at him funny and getting sent off.

Any team with Lukaku and Mirallas is to be respected, even if it's Everton.
