Props to Hull, they easily could have been 3-nil up on another day. Citeh did get more of a foothold once Negredo scored and pretty much controlled things in the second half.

It's pretty funny that Yaya Toure was allowed to leave Barca. I know they barely play any defensive minded players but he's got just a little bit (sarcasm) of offensive skill as well.

One has to doubt any Arsenal rumor at this point, but Mata or Draxler would certainly salvage something.

Liverpool are on pace to go 38-0-0, with 38 goals scored all by Sturridge and none conceded.

Weirdly, Liverpool look better without Suarez. And the honeymoon is over for Moyes.

There's a lot to be said for playing predictably and winning 1-0. Beautiful football is great but winning is winning.

No, I mean it should come as no surprise that Liverpool is better without Suarez. Addition by substraction.

I like Bale, but that transfer fee is just mind-boggling and dumb. it's not like Real really needs more midfielders.

The possible sales of Ozil and Di Maria to add Bale's shirt sales seems rather foolish. That being said Bale is a very exciting player but the fee is insane.

This was the first time I saw Spurs play this season, and it seems (at least for today) that they'll miss Bale immensely. It would still be crazy to turn down that transfer fee, but there didn't seem to be anyone on Spurs capable of making some incisive offensive movement happen (either by dribbling or passing). All of the new Spurs players look solid enough, and they have fantastic depth now, especially in the midfield, but Soldado was stranded for the most part with no one like Cazorla (who can break down the defense with his passing) or Walcott (who can beat people on the dribble) playing underneath him.

If I were Spurs, I'd try to get Mata or Kagawa, as they're clearly not in the plans of their current teams.

That's a good pick-up for them. I thought Moses did pretty well off the bench for Chelsea last year. Sturridge, Suarez, Sterling, and Moses isn't a bad group of forwards.

Agree with a lot of this. Soldado is a quality finisher but he is not going to create goals on his own. It's funny that for all the money Sp*rs have spent they haven't brought in a CAM. Kagawa is just weird. Definitely misused and underused by Utd. There's a great quote from Klopp where he said something along the lines of he wept when he found out Kagawa was being played on the wing.

I didn't think much of Moses when he was with Wigan but I was fairly impressed by him last year.

(All kinds of reports that a certain German playing in Madrid is going to Arsenal, not gonna jinx it)

Valencia 2-Barca 3. Los Che very unlucky not to get a point. Really good game, Messi easily could have had a hattrick in both halves but for some uncharacteristic poor finishing in the second half.
