I'd add Ecuador, Costa Rica and England.

I saw that on the Daily Show. This Qatar World Cup just keeps getting more and more ridiculous. Now we're looking at a World Cup played in October/November in genitalia-shaped stadiums in a country with no real soccer history, a record of tolerance of abuse of women and LGBT persons, use of quasi-slave labor, and a ban on public alcohol consumption. I can't believe the FIFA higher-ups can keep re-affirming their intentions to have the WC there with straight faces.

An Qatar's national team is brutal so they will be stealing a spot from a good team. They were the worst team in Fifa '95.

Enjoyable interview with Santi Cazorla:
Cesc describes it perfectly. It's not as tactical in England. The first line of pressure is incredible: everyone comes at you, fast, strong, intense but, if you can play two or three quick passes, it opens up. You get space in that three-quarters position you don't get in Spain. I enjoy it; Mesut will too.
...
People see those details, the goals and assists but players like Flamini are vital: balance, positioning, intelligence. Flamini is like a coach on the pitch, he runs all game, he's intense, well positioned. It's not coincidence.

This is a pretty good game. Is Deulofeu starting for Everton now? He seems like he's going to be really good.

Crap, was hoping that Old Trafford rules would be in effect and the linesman wouldn't notice Sturridge was a mile offside. Fun match.

Hopefully Joe Allen is never seen again. A functional back-line would be nice.

Dortmund face Bayern later today without their first choice back four, good luck with that.

High and studs showing, red card every day of the week. I'd say it is only bc of Suarez and his "boy who cried wolf syndrome".

I'm not sure either, but my guess, based on a Penguins analogy, is this: the Riverhounds are becoming Houston's WBS, and a new team is being created to become the Riverhounds' Wheeling.

If right, that would be pretty cool. Having MLS prospects in need of playing time should boost the quality of the Riverhounds. I'm not sure what this means (if anything) for their long-term MLS ambitions.

1. The Pittsburgh Riverhounds are now affiliated with Houston Dynamo.
2. Pittsburgh will have a PDL team next year.

Edit: largegarlic has it right. For example, this year Orlando was affiliated with Sporting Kansas City. Dom Dwyer had a huge start to the season with Orlando and ended up being called up to Sporting KC and this weekend he scored the game winner to get to the MLS Cup final. Also, CJ Sapong (2011 MLS rookie of the year) had a rough year and ended up playing quite a few games with Orlando. CJ Sapong also scored a goal in the Eastern Conf Final for SKC this weekend. So it provides some unique opportunities for the Riverhounds.
