The ref tried his best to give Chelsea the win. Called for 4 minutes of injury time, played over 6 minutes

Class move by Eto'o at the end there trying to weasel himself a goal Nani style.

We learned that City are going to get every call whether they need it or not.

We'll see what happens with Man City and their non-compliance with the Financial Fair Play rules. I'd love it if they were thrown out of next year's champions league. It will never happen but one can wish.

A Sturridge-Lukaku partnership probably looks pretty attractive to Chelsea now after their 39 shots and no goals yesterday.

More transfer news...

Chelsea bought Kurt Zouma (young defenseman, I think) from Saint Etienne.

AC Milan bought Adel Taarabt.

Lewis Holtby wants to leave Tottenham but stay in England, will likely be loaned out for the rest of the season (Source).

Damn, Zouma seems like a really nice capture for Chelsea.

It sounds more and more like the Draxler transfer will get done.

What is Vucinic's playing style? I hope he compares favorably to Giroud in terms of hold up ability.

I heard Vučinić is only open to moving to Inter or staying with Juve.

It also sounds like if the Draxler deal gets done at all it will be in the summer. A FAKE David Ornstein twitter account is reporting a deal is happening. Only trust the real thing: https://twitter.com/bbcsport_david

Shalke have come out and said that Draxler isn't going anywhere... We'll see if that is just posturing though

Cross seemed to be suggesting that Draxler deal was better than 50/50 to happen. I know very little in terms of reliability among journalists, though, so who knows.

Cross reports on Arsenal but he isn't reliable when it comes to transfers.

David Ornstein from the BBC is about as trust-worthy as it comes. Here's what he says:

David Ornstein ‏@bbcsport_david 5m Arsenal not signing Draxler. Was interest but AW unwilling to meet #Schalke asking price. Only #afc deal may be a loan arrival #bbcfootball

Fulham looking to sign John Heitinga if Aaron Hughes goes to #qpr. Lewis Holtby loan deal agreed & medical done #ffc #efc #thfc #bbcfootball

David Ornstein ‏@bbcsport_david 1h

Arsenal working to sign Sweden midfielder Kim Kallstrom (31) on loan to end of season from Spartak Moscow. Should get done #afc #bbcfootball (what's the point?)

Both West Ham and Fulham are trying to sign Kostas Mitroglou from Olympiacos.

Seems like there won't be a ton of big moves at the deadline (unless some of these guys I don't recognize are really good). At least not enough to seriously alter the power structure in the EPL...

Matic and Mata are the only moves by the big teams that might have an impact and those were earlier in the window. I think both West Ham and Fulham have helped themselves a lot in their battle to fight the drop. Tom Ince could be huge at Palace.

Saw about the last half hour of the Sunderland v. Newcastle game. Sunderland looked very good. Altidore did not.

Altidore's been fine the last two games. Clearly he needs to put away a chance eventually, but his hold up and combination play have been good.

You can't make this stuff up. Kallstrom suffered an injury in training this morning.
