They have been building to this for more than 2 years. I think they were actually going to fold, they would have been up front about it and gave a proper send off.
They will go off the grid for a while, existing in the form of the "wrestling is..." promotions, and at the end of every year, they do a whole show based around one 10 on 10 elimination tag match called "The Torneo Cibernetico". You bring back 10 guys who are all the "wrestling is..." Champs, and have them take on those that stayed loyal to the evil ownership group,.and have it somehow end with all the divergent time lines being resolved.
It's an angle... A really ballsy angle, but an angle.
Please keep us updated. It sounds like a hell of a work if it in fact is. I was reading your posts last night while watching Slamiversary.
This is basically playing out like an alternate reality game. ok... Chikara was bought by a subdivision of a company called the Titor Conglomerate, at least in universe. A picture was leaked on twitter that linked TTC to Elohim City, OK. That is a religious compound with ties to neo-nazi groups, and the Oklahoma City Bomber. Not sure what the significance is, but there appears to be something there.
As far as the roster, they have all been hitting the net, aggressively seeking bookings, and very much claiming to not have any idea what is going on.
Now the interesting thing about the cancellations is they never announced times or venues, or sold tickets, and most of the dates already had a "wrestling is..." show scheduled the same night. So it seems like that was the plan all along.
It's too much stuff to process right now.
