So in the last two months Punk, Ziggler, Rhodes, and Henry have turned face. Del Rio turned heel. Who else turns heel? Orton is the only one i can think of.

because everybody can do the singalong and yell yes.

As good as he is in the ring, take away the yes/no catchphrase and ask if he's still over.

the really scary thing is that they haven't even scratched the surface of how good Cesaro actually is

They made him the underdog and people embraced it. People actually buy him as an underdog unlike cena. Being awesome in the ring and having a damn catchy catchphrase helps too. So happy for the guy he deserves it.

He's absolutley over without the catchphrase. It certainly doesn't hurt though.

Probably should have asked that differently.

Is he as over as he is right now without it?

Does Austin get as over as he does without the Austin 316 stuff?

Does rock get over as much as he does without "do you smell what the rock is cooking"?

Its part of Bryan's character and people latched on to it naturally after a while. It gave Bryan an identity to go along with his awesome in ring work. I don't see why its looked at as a knock against him.

Him being over started as soon as Vince had him lose the championship in 18 seconds. It was a travesty and the thing that he used to turn himself heel (yes yes yes) was embraced by the masses as a chant to show their disdain for what happened there and how it screwed a very talented guy. The catch phrase was never intended to get him over in terms of the "Ryback Rules" and "Feed me more" canned crap WWE has thrown at the fans of the past. The chanting of "Yes! Yes! Yes!" was the only form of protest the fans had. It wasn't Dbry that forced that catch phrase that caused him to be over, it was the fans seeing a complete injustice and grasping onto the only thing they could to throw it in Vince's face.

This is easily the best match of the night. Cesaro gets shafted too much. He could much more of an uppercard guy than he is. They pigeon holed him though.
