Yeah. In an odd way, that plane crash actually helped his career. No plane crash and we may have never had "The Nature Boy" character.

LOL Big Show just busted an old tube tv, that tv probably broke years ago and they were looking for a way to get rid of it.

Hey look, Daniel Bryan vs the Shield for the 9th week in a row. Might be starting a new streak since the Pirates ended theirs

What a boring Raw. The new "corporation" is losing a ton of steam very quickly.

Combining two threads, RAW hasn't been in the air at the same time as a Pirates winning season.

BUH GAWD!! J.R. retires!!

http://www.torontosun.com/2013/09/11/ji ... s-from-wwe

According to WWE.com, Jim Ross has decided to retire from World Wrestling Entertainment after 20 years with the company.

The report says that it is effective today, and that Ross plans to pursue other business interests.

Ross still calls Oklahoma home and sells a collection of barbecue sauces.

Before being hired by WWE, Ross worked as a referee and all around go-boy in the Mid-South territory, run then by Leroy McGuirk and Bill Watts. It was in Mid-South where he found fame as an announcer.

Later, he moved to the NWA/World Championship Wrestling, where he rose into management and on the booking committee.

In WWE, he eventually was a vice-president, in charge of talent relations.

"Jim has made many contributions to WWE and the sports-entertainment industry, and we thank him for his many years of service and wish him well," reads the WWE.com report.

I hope he is on RAW and gets a proper send off in the future. I don't see that happening with the current storyline.

Meltzer is reporting that JR got forced into retirement due to his inability to control Flair at a WWE 2K14 event. Not sure I believe that, but JR has been quoted saying he will never retire. Who knows.

Man, just crazy. I'm not really sure what they wanted JR to do in that situation.

He was a hilarious drunken (allegedly) mess. Meltzer specifically cited him telling the story about how he put his WWE HOF ring in his son's casket and WWE have him a new one. Apparently they didn't like him talking about his dead son at a WWE event.
