I first got wind of it ffrom the youtube posted here. Didnt get to listen to da Fan since for some reason its blocked at work and I didnt have my phone on me, but I got on twitter and just had to laugh at Mueller. He had a few posts right in a row about him legit crying over it. Then he was like "Holy God that last RT was the entire episode!" It was just funny. Then Mikey from 96.1 posted that gif I linked to I think. Then I quickly get on twitter from my work comp and see Vinnie post "I live to entertain." So they had to be having a field day with it there.

I tuned into the same show. They ran a quick spot right at the start of the show that said he was off today, at least for the 2-3pm show on PensLive. Not sure if he's doing his regular show today on the X.

Paul Alexander was actually trying this morning to sell the masses on how Batch is still a solid #2 and that he'd play him over Gradkowski. Would have turned it off except I couldn't believe he was serious. His accuracy is long gone, his arm has been gone for years, and you could probably clock Batch's 40 using a calendar.

I had 93.7 on last night on my way home and happened to hear Poni open his show with the essentially the same thing - basically, "Batch won the Baltimore game and earned the #2 spot because of it; Gradkowski has never won a meaningful NFL game". I gave it two segments. Whenever someone called and argued that durability was a huge concern with Batch, he basically said, "Well, he got through that Baltimore game..." and re-iterated his original premise.

Turned the channel after he refused to engage the second caller who tried to debate the point with him further. Cookie-cutter radio crap from Poni, just like usual. First time I've listened to him in months. Nothing has apparently changed.

I heard that too and it was awful. You know Pittsburgh is a football town first when people are talking about the backup QB situation...in MARCH! Good lord.

Two seasons ago the Pens were playing the Bolts in the playoffs. Now naturally with the local hockey team with all it's superstar talent playing a team with one of the leagues hottest scorers you think the Fan would devote tons of time towards covering it right?

Wrong as all they talked about during the series was the Steelers schedule and when the Pens were eliminated I remember one guy called in saying he was glad the Pens lost so the station would talk more Pirate baseball.

Ugh.

I stopped listening to the Fan a long time ago. They don't talk hockey and even when there talking about other sports their not interesting to listen to.
