I was hoping Da Fan would syndicate Scott in the 10pm-2am slot.

I don't have anywhere to put this and I don't want to make a new thread, so:

The 96.1 KISS Morning Freak Show is the single worst piece of media produced in any medium -- TV, radio, internet, morse code, whatever -- today, and potentially in history.

Listen for 5 minutes on Monday and report back. I had it on for 20 seconds this morning and wanted to drive to their studios and fight them.

Not sure if you have an HD Radio, but he's on HD3 on da Fan at 10pm.

I woke up yesterday morning and had a facebook notification on my phone. Open it up and see "Vinnie Richichi has accepted your friends request" lol I have no idea when in the hell I requested the Vinman, but apparently he was going thru his requests and added a bunch of people yesterday.

I think it's a national show, unless they broadcast a game. Dunlap will be on until 2 if he can't do his 6-10 show.

So what's the deal with Madden lately? On my 45-min trips home from work every day this week, he was actually speaking for maybe 5 minutes total. Most days I lost interest listening to the same old tired X music and just switched to 93.7.

Is he on the outs? Just on vaca and they filled the time with music instead of playing repeats or bringing in someone else?

I know even before this week he's been complaining about having to play more music than he wanted...but this is ridiculous.

His facebook page says he's been in Las Vegas, so I'm guessing it's a vacation.

I hope he comes back and I would certainly notice. He's the only radio personality sans Stan Savran (who doesn't really count since he's on a station with an incredibly terrible signal) who actually talks hockey on a consistent basis and who actually knows the team and game well (can't say the same for anyone on the fan).

I mean for how much people complain on here that no one talks Penguins in this town you should like what he does. Yeah he's abrasive and arrogant but too bad, that's what gets ratings on radio by stirring the pot and he does that well.

I don't agree with his views all the time, but I appreciate what he does when it comes to providing hockey content close to year round in a city where to the local media, hockey doesn't begin until January or for many April (I don't share that view at all since winning the cup doesn't really matter to me as I just love watching the Pens play and whatever happens in the end happens and I don't start jumping off a cliff like many here when they lose or win when they don't play perfect. It's just a game, a form of entertainment and not real life so they can win or lose and it doesn't affect me one bit).

Not to mention, hockey in Pittsburgh gets maligned to death on the fan and elsewhere in the city for having too long of a schedule (yet not a single person on the radio complain about baseball and its 162 game schedule being too long when it most certainly is).

Just saying, he's on our side. You can't say that about anyone on the fan except for maybe Joe Starkey.

For me, what Madden says when he isn't talking hockey overrides his hockey talk. I only listen to his 1 hour Penguins Radio show and I really wouldn't miss it if it went away.
