Yeah but when you eat something with you mouth you are tasting eat. You don't taste the mucus seeping down your throat. Eating boogers means you enjoy the taste.

Yeah but when you eat something with you mouth you are tasting eat. You don't taste the mucus seeping down your throat. Eating boogers means you enjoy the taste.

I was at a meeting with a client the other day, guy is a very successful businessman, and he is full on picking away in the middle of the meeting while people are talking directly to him without a care in the world. It immediately reminded me of this thread and NAN.

I pick as needed, no more. And it needs picked daily, nothing like a good challenge when one is up there and you got to work to get it out, very rewarding.

Have you ever picked one that is dry on one end and really moist at the other end, and when you pull it out you can feel it being pulled from deep inside your sinuses?? It almost feels like you are pulling something out of your brain??

My son will eat his boogers just for the enjoyment of grossing out his sister. I tell him no but he won't listen, watching his sister almost puking appearently is to much a draw to make him not want to stop.

Had a boss who used to circle around the nostril while in meetings and eventually would plunge in. Ewww.

when your nose is as big as mine, picking is absolutely crucial to breathing.

I do it most when I"m driving. It kills time. When I"m out of boogers, I go for my nose hairs.

Giving this some thought, I have to wonder: why is picking socially unsanctioned, but to reach over and give your arm a good scratch is not? I'll grant you that the flakes of skin that precipitate from the act of a scratch are not gooey as your typical nose nugget, but the fact remains that one is extricating from oneself dead cells freed by one's finger nails as a result of both acts.

I suppose there is also the size of the goober - with your common-or-garden boogie, there is a noticable chuck; whereas with your standard scratch, you're typically dealing with a microscopic dust. Nonetheless, each should be - to the thinking man - equally icky... or not. Choose your medicine, right?

Honest question, and it's a little disgusting, but who like to pick their nose. I found myself digging away last night watching TV, and my wife freaked out on me. I came to realize, I find it sort of relaxing in a weird way. It's also a form of grooming one's self, and sometimes a challenge if a big one is in there.

So, do you like it or find it repulsive.

I'm surprised there are so many pickers here. I find the act to be generally disgusting, not to be done in public, and one that should only be reserved for when blowing your nose doesn't get a problematic particle out and you are forced to get in there. For me, it's probably once every few months. Certainly, nothing to do for the entertainment value.

What do you guys do with the boogers? Wipe it on the wall? Fling it across the room? Eat it (some people do)? I mean. You may as well scratch your ass on the carpet like a dog does, as far as I'm concerned.

had a very challenging day for nose picking today. had a seminar from 9:00-2:00 and during that time, there was zero nose picking opportunity let alone farting opportunity. needless to say kenny the kangaroo went hog wild upon the return to the cozy confines of the office.
