My wife loves them, but I just don't see the point in watching Parenthood, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, etc. It's like a competition every week in who can come up with the most depressing plot line.

Watching that tonight. So please post spoilers if you are going to talk about it!

Finally got to watch this:

Spoiler:
I thought the ending was ok. The part with Lana and her son was great. Also the St. Jude story was good. Two things:

1) Wish they would have closed up the alien line better, but I read where the director wanted to leave that one open ended.

2) Just from the ending, my impression was that Lana was truly the evil one. There were two things that stuck out to me, right before she pulls the trigger to kill her boy, she says something like "I have no issues killing" or something like that and then blows his head off. And then in the flashback at the very end, St. Jude says to her that when "evil stares you in the face, expect evil to stare back" and Lana says something like "I know". Thoughts?

Spoiler:
The aliens being open ended is a complete cop out. there was really no reason for them to be there and then there was no reasoning or justification

Just started watching Grey's Anatomy from the beginning on Hulu... lot of promise based on 2 episodes watched. But a boatload of episodes to catch up to current season.

And finally, thanks to Hulu, have seen the Numb3rs pilot... we started about episode 6 on its original run.

That's the kind of thinking that led to people like Rob Rossi being a member of the media.

Into season 5 of Dexter. Really liked the first 4 seasons...except for 4 finale with Rita.

Not liking season 5 so far. People at work say 5 & 6 went off track but 7 was good.

Any thoughts on 5 & 6?

Season 5 was, by far, my least favorite season. I had no problems with season 6. Thought the show rebounded quite well after season 5. In fact, my brother became hooked on the show while watching an episode of season 6.

Unrelated...

Occupy Conan was awesome. Got weird at time, but I thought it was a good idea.

Really liked the first episode of the OFfice last night, the one with all of Dwights friends and family trying to be hired for the JR sales position. I think that was supposed to be the episode that was supposed to set up the spin off of the "Farm" before NBC pulled that project.

But it was pretty good.

Sad 30 Rock is gone. Still ahve to watch the finale, but I loved that show.

ive been catching up on dexter as of late...the season with hanks and olmos was stupid and now im on the one after that...equally snooze. i think this show was one great season (season 1) and a bunch of mediocre ones--including the heralded lithgow season.

Most people didnt like season 5 (barrel girls), however, I thought it was leaps and bounds better than season 6 with hanks and olmos. 7 was OK, but not like seasons 1-4. The first 4 seasons had me on the edge of my seat, and ever since then the show has become very predictable to me.

I am going to watch the 30 Rock finale to see how it ended. I started watching a few seasons ago, caught up on everything, and really enjoyed the show. Then last season, I watched the first 2 episodes, and I was so bored with them that I stopped completely and haven't seen an episode since.

There have been some great episodes IMO, especially this season.

I agree though, that show, overall, I really enjoyed. But over the last 7 years, there were stretches that they "missed" on with their plotlines and it was boring. But then they'd start a new story arc and it was really enjoyable.

To me, just like the Office, if they missed, they really did it bad. But the episodes they got right, it was hilarious. But I think overall, those two shows were something new and refreshing on TV when they came out and were different than the standard sitcom.
