I do think CBS tried to keep the racist/Aaryn hate going by splicing a few things together that told a different story.
Aaryn still dug her own grave the first few weeks, but if she would have come into the game and act like she is now, she would probably be a favorite. I think a lot of it had to do with the group she hung out with and how they fed on each other. Jeremy also didnt' seem that bad his final week.
Elissa has been the opposite for me. She was one of my favorites, but now just seems like a total whack job.
I'm liking Aaryn now that she's away from Jeremy and Kaitlin. She's sweet, she's fun. If I'm being perfectly honest, I did not like Kaitlin after Jeremy left. She behaved close to how he did.. not the fights but with the attitude. Anyway, I agree it may be too late for Aaryn. She will have to do damage control after she leaves, but I don't believe anymore that she or Gina are racist. As I look back and think about it all, I feel it was more just being immature and even full of a pack mentality type thing, where jokes started flying around and the wrong things came out. But being on TV, it all got blown out of proportion. Not to say some of the comments were OK, as some did have racial overtones and could have been seen as hurtful, but sometimes good people say wrong things and I think that's what happened. It's not like either of them or Amanda (she's Jewish and also is guilty of questionable comments -- you don't see CBS showing her in that light but if you read blogs you know she's just as guilty) are walking around the house quoting supremacist propaganda.
I know I won't crucify a young girl for the rest of her life mostly for being immature or Gina (33) and Amanda (29) who happen to be older but just have a very blunt way of talking and joking. It's kinda like what I was talking about in the other thread.. whatever happened to it. Sometimes things are said and all of a sudden you have some politically correct a-hole who knows nothing about you pointing a finger and calling you a racist.
These girls will have to do some repairs, but I hope people won't be mad at them forever.
