that would definitely be the tough part, but it would be cool to see origin stories for a lot of the villians and other characters. I guess Batman could still be in the shadows and heard about as well?

I like the idea of a GCPD tv show.

I like the idea of the Gotham show. Like someone else said, if they show the origins of the villians and how they were before Batman came, I'd love it.

I'd certainly give it a shot but I would have my reservations.

I loved the Neighbors last year, thought it was funny and fresh.

But I finally watched the season premiere last night and thought it was WAY over the top and weird. Hopefully the rest of the season goes back to how it was in Season 1.

For the three of us that watch Treme, its final season airs in December. IIRC, it's a four episode wrapup.

I just watched an episode of The Shield. That's 45 minutes I'll never get back.

newarenanow wrote:HIMYM was ok last night. I thought Ted was going to meet the mother, but it seems they are going to play up the wedding for a few episodes before he actually meets her. They had a few "flash forwards" with her, but he hasn't met her yet. This will probably go through the first 6-8 episodes IMO. But it is definitely time for the show to end.

i thought it was pretty awful - just from a pure humor stand point. i think this show, historically, has been very funny by network comedy standards, but the other night was brutal, lowest common denominator stuff.

Oh, that's better than what I thought. It's not 12 episodes, but better than 0. :slug:

I hope they don't try to do an origin for the Joker. There's a reason why the Dark Knight didn't try to do one.

Yeah, but there have been multiple origin stories, and I don't think there's one definitive origin.

Harvey Dent, Black Face, Red Hood, Penguin, and maybe the Riddler would be the only bad guys off the top of my head that would probably fit into something Gordon would be involved with.

Is the series in any way based on the (mostly excellent) Gotham Central comic series?

i cant stomach another show with every character acting as though theyre so dysfunctional, they'd be considered retarded in real life.
